A pressure sensitive label and method for preparing same, the pressure sensitive label comprising: (a) a support portion, the support portion including at least a carrier layer; and (b) a transfer portion over the support portion for transfer of the transfer portion to an article upon application of pressure while the transfer portion is in contact with the article. The transfer portion may include at least (i) a printable layer in contacting relationship with the carrier layer, and (ii) an ink layer positioned such that the printable layer is between the carrier layer and the ink layer.

Pressure-sensitive label

A pressure sensitive label and method for preparing same, the pressure sensitive label comprising: (a) a support portion, the support portion including at least a carrier layer; and (b) a transfer portion over the support portion for transfer of the transfer portion from the support portion to an article upon application of pressure to the transfer portion while the transfer portion is in contact with the article, the transfer portion including at least a printable layer in confronting relationship with the carrier layer, and an ink layer positioned between the printable layer and carrier layer.

A heat transfer label assembly comprises a label and a carrier for releasably supporting the label. The carrier may comprise paper. A release layer comprising a polymer and wax is disposed between the label and the carrier. The carrier is substantially devoid of a solvent impermeable coating, such that the release layer is disposed directly on the paper.

A heat transfer label assembly includes a heat transfer label including ink and adhesive, and a releasable support joined to the heat transfer label. The adhesive may include at least one of a polyketone resin and a polyamide resin. The heat transfer label may be used to decorate a metal article.
