A fusing member rejuvenating method and apparatus for cleaning and rejuvenating an external surface of a fusing member of a toner image producing machine. The fusing member rejuvenating method and apparatus include (a) a cleaning cartridge including a movable cleaning material movable at a first speed for contacting and removing residual toner and dirt from an external surface of the fusing member; (b) a first articulating device connected to the movable cleaning cartridge for selectively moving the movable cleaning cartridge into and out of contact with the external surface of the fusing member; (c) a scouring cartridge including a movable scouring material movable at a second speed for contacting and scouring the external surface of the fusing member; and (d) a second articulating device connected to the movable scouring cartridge for selectively moving the movable scouring cartridge into and out of contact with the external surface of the fusing member.

Fusing member rejuvenating method and system in a toner image producing machine

A fuser member component to fuse the transferred developed image to the copy substrate, wherein the fuser member includes a substrate, an outer polymeric layer, and a release agent material coating on the outer polymeric layer, and the release agent material coating includes a blend of at least two different amino-functional siloxane release agent materials having amino-functional groups, and the at least two different amino-functional siloxane release agent materials have the following Formula I: wherein A represents &#x2014;R&#x2014;X, wherein Rrepresents an alkyl group having from about 1 to about 10 carbons, X represents &#x2014;NHor &#x2014;NHRNHwith Rrepresenting an alkyl group having from about 1 to about 10 carbons; Rand Rare the same or different and each is selected from the group consisting of an alkyl having from about 1 to about 25 carbons, an aryl having from about 4 to about 10 carbons, and an arylalkyl; Ris selected from the group consisting of an alkyl having from about 1 to about 25 carbons, an aryl having from about 4 to about 10 carbons, an arylalkyl, and a substituted diorganosiloxane chain having from about 1 to about 500 siloxane units; b and c are numbers and are the same or different and each satisfy the conditions of 0&#x2266;b&#x2266;10 and 10&#x2266;c&#x2266;1,000, but both b and c must not be 0 at the same time; d and d' are numbers and are the same or different and are 2 or 3, and e and e&#x2032; are numbers and are the same or different and are 0 or 1 and satisfy the conditions that d+e=3 and d&#x2032;+e&#x2032;=3.

Blended amino functional siloxane release agents for fuser members

A fuser member having a substrate, a layer thereover including a polymer, and, on the polymeric layer, a coating of a release agent having a mixture of (a) an organosiloxane polymer concentrate containing amino-substituted organosiloxane polymers, wherein there are amino functional groups on at least some of the polymer molecules of the concentrate, the concentrate has a degree of functionality of from about 0.3 to about 0.4 mole percent, the concentrate has a viscosity of from about 800 to about 1,300 centistokes; and (b) a nonfunctional organosiloxane polymer diluent, the diluent has a viscosity of from about 100 to about 2,000 centistokes; the mixture has a degree of functionality of from about 0.05 to about 0.3 mole percent, wherein the mixture has a viscosity of from about 550 to about 1,300 centistokes, and wherein the ratio by weight of concentrate to diluent is from about 1:2 to about 1:30, and an image forming apparatus having the fuser member.

Amino-functional fusing agent

A fuser member having a substrate, an outer polymeric layer, and a release agent material coating on the outer polymeric layer, and the release agent material coating includes a blend of at least two different amino-functional siloxane release agent materials, and each amino-functional siloxane release agent material contains amino functional groups having a degree of functionality of from about 0.01 to about 0.9 mole percent.

A fuser member having a substrate, an outer polymeric layer, an outer polymeric layer, and a release agent material coating on the outer polymeric layer, wherein the release agent material coating includes a copolymer having the following formula: wherein A and B are the same or different, and each represents &#x2014;R&#x2014;X, wherein Rrepresents an alkyl group having from about 1 to about 10 carbons, X represents &#x2014;NHor &#x2014;NHRNHwith Rrepresenting an alkyl group having from about 1 to about 10 carbons; Rand Rare the same or different and each is selected from the group consisting of an alkyl having from about 1 to about 25 carbons, an aryl having from about 4 to about 10 carbons, and an arylalkyl; Rand Rare the same or different and each is selected from the group consisting of an alkyl having from about 1 to about 25 carbons, an aryl having from about 4 to about 10 carbons, an arylalkyl, and a substituted diorganosiloxane chain having from about 1 to about 500 siloxane units; b and c are numbers and are the same or different and each satisfy the conditions of 0&#x2266;b&#x2266;10 and 10&#x2266;c&#x2266;1,000, but both b and c must not be 0 at the same time; d and d' are numbers and are the same or different and are 2 or 3, and e and e&#x2032; are numbers and are the same or different and are 0 or 1, and satisfy the conditions that d+e=3 and d&#x2032;+e&#x2032;=3, f is a number of from about 0 to about 10, and b+c+f is from about 0 to about 10.

Amino-functional siloxane copolymer release agents for fuser members

A fuser member component to fuse the transferred developed image to the copy substrate, wherein the fuser member includes a substrate, an outer polymeric layer, and a release agent material coating on the outer polymeric layer, and the release agent material coating includes a T-type amino-functional siloxane release agent material having amino-functional groups, and the T-type amino-functional siloxane release agent material has the following Formula I: wherein A represents &#x2014;R&#x2014;X, wherein Rrepresents an alkyl group having from about 1 to about 10 carbons, X represents &#x2014;NHor &#x2014;NHRNHwith Rrepresenting an alkyl group having from about 1 to about 10 carbons; Rand Rare the same or different and each is selected from the group consisting of an alkyl having from about 1 to about 25 carbons, an aryl having from about 4 to about 10 carbons, and an arylalkyl; Ris a substituted diorganosiloxane chain having from about 1 to about 500 siloxane units; b and c are numbers and are the same or different and each satisfy the conditions of 1&#x2266;b&#x2266;10 and 10&#x2266;c&#x2266;1,000, d and d' are numbers and are the same or different and are 1 or 2, and e and e&#x2032; are numbers and are the same or different and are 1 or 2 and satisfy the conditions that d+e=3 and d&#x2032;+e&#x2032;=3.

T-type amino functional release agent for fuser members

A fuser member comprising a support and coated thereon a fluorocarbon elastomer layer containing: (1) a silicon carbide filler and a cupric oxide filler; and/or (2) a silicon carbide filler treated with a silane coupling agent having a reactive functional group, the fuser member further having a functionalized polydimethylsiloxane release agent applied to the fluorocarbon elastomer layer in an amount sufficient to produce, upon incubation at elevated temperature, a surface having improved toner release properties on said outermost layer.

Fluorocarbon fuser member with silicon carbide filler

A fuser member having improved toner offset release and wear characteristics. The outermost layer comprises a fluoroelastomer with thermally conductive fillers which are surface treated with a coupling agent that is interactive with the fluoroelastomer and with a release agent which may, optionally, be used on the surface of the fluoroelastomer layer.

Fuser member with surface treated Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 and functionalized

A fuser member having improved toner offset release and wear characteristics. The outermost layer comprises a fluoroelastomer with thermally conductive metal oxide fillers and a silane coupling agent that is interactive with the fluoroelastomer and with a release agent which may, optionally, be used on the surface of the fluoroelastomer layer.
