Embodiments disclosed herein may relate to systems and methods for managing work flow data collection for users across a wide area network comprising a diverse set of devices and processes and unifying the work process to be device agnostic. Embodiments disclosed herein may allow a single process having multiple steps to be retrieved and continued across multiple channels and devices with apparent continuity to the end-user. The status of each process step is tracked and the inputs are stored, providing the system with the requisite information when users continue processes on a different channel or device from the original channel or device. The system may host and execute processes that may be presented and manipulated across the various channels and devices, but without requiring engineers and developers to write or otherwise tailor software applications and network configurations to facilitate or allow multi-channel interactions.

Multi-device work flow management method and system for managing work flow data collection for users across a diverse set of devices and processes by unifying the work process to be data and device agnostic

Techniques are described for managing cookies, including separately managing cookie data associated with different browser tabs. Cookie management includes the isolation of whitelisted cookies from server responses into background storage and then back onto server requests, removing those cookies from the response header and thus from the cookie store. This isolation is managed with the concept of tab ownership between parent and child tabs to maintain isolation separately for each owner (e.g., the parent) and its children. Exposure to client pages is handled by placing those cookies into a keyed location in session storage for every tab where that cookie is to be visible. An event is then triggered for that client page to let it know that session storage has been updated.

Dynamic advertising scheduling, display, and tracking for the world wide web. The invention includes at least one template web page that has conventional HTML codes defining the format and content of the web page. Special 'ad tags' are used to indicate the characteristics of an ad that can be displayed on a web page at the position of the ad tag. A request to view a page is sent to a server-resident parser. The parser accesses the template for the requested page, parses the conventional HTML codes, and provides such codes to the user. In addition, the parser 'expands' each ad tag to standard HTML code that defines the characteristics of an ad. During expansion of ad tags, the parser determines from each ad tag the type of ad that can be inserted at the page position of the ad tag; a bin identifier defining which ads can be associated with the ad tag; a page identifier of the page associated with the ad tag; and various optional flags and codes. The parser generates a list of valid ads by searching through a conventional database, selects one that fulfills all the parameters of the ad tag, and generates HTML code linking a particular ad to the ad tag. That HTML code is then sent to the user. The parser program can also apply scheduling criteria to select ads from the generated list of eligible candidates.
