An oral hygiene device includes a handle and a cleaning head supported on one end of the handle. A vibratory source is supported on the handle and is operative to generate vibratory output. A mounting element is disposed between the handle and the vibratory source. A connecting member extends between the vibratory source and the cleaning head, and is adapted to generate motion at the cleaning head in response to the vibratory output generated at the vibratory source.

Oral hygiene device and method of assembly

A razor and trimmer combination assembly includes an elongated handle, a razor blade, a trimmer and a motor. The razor blade is disposed at or adjacent a first end of the handle. The trimmer mounts on the handle and includes a moving blade. The motor drives the moving blade.

An electrically powered toothbrush has a body having a first end, a head opposite the first end, a neck between the first end and head, an electrical motor and a power source disposed in the body, a drive shaft operatively connected to the motor, and a bristle carrier. The head has a frame defining a recess. The shaft has a longitudinal axis of rotation and a portion offset from the axis of rotation. The bristle carrier is disposed within the recess and is pivotally secured to the frame by a laterally extending pivot member disposed substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of rotation. The bristle carrier has a receiving channel adapted to receive the offset portion. The rotation of the drive shaft causes the offset portion to engage the receiving channel of the bristle carrier thereby causing the bristle carrier to pivot about the pivot member.

Multi-motion toothbrush

A head for a toothbrush has a longitudinal axis and a transverse axis. The transverse axis is generally perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The head includes a first cleaning element carrier and a second cleaning element carrier. The second cleaning element carrier is asymmetrically fixed to the head such that the second cleaning element carrier can move relative to the head about the transverse axis of the head.

Complex motion toothbrush

An electric toothbrush comprises a handle having an electric motor, a head, a rotating shaft, and a neck extending between the handle and the head. The head has a first and second bristle holders, each having a plurality of bristles, wherein the second bristle holder is located between the handle and the first bristle holder. The second bristle holder is movably mounted on the head with a laterally extending pivot member. The rotating shaft is operatively connected to the first and second bristle holders to cause a first movement of the first bristle holder and to move the second bristle holder in a rocking motion about the pivot member.

An electrically powered toothbrush comprises a body having a first end, a head opposite from the first end, and a neck extending between the first end and the head. The body defines a hollow region therewithin. An electrical motor and a power source are disposed in the hollow region within the body. A drive shaft having a longitudinal axis of rotation and a distal end offset from the axis of rotation is operatively connected to the motor for rotational movement. A base pivotally secured to the head by a laterally extending pivot member has a receiving channel for receiving the distal end of the drive shaft. A first bristle carrier is secured to the base, and a second bristle carrier is disposed on the head between the first bristle carrier and the first end. Rotation of the drive shaft causes its distal end to move within the receiving channel thereby causing the base with the first bristle carrier to pivot about the laterally extending pivot member.

An electrically driven toothbrush may comprise a shaft comprising a cam. The cam may contact and move a first bristle holder. The shaft may drivingly engage the first bristle the holder. A second bristle holder may be driven by the first bristle holder. The second bristle holder may be driven by an engagement with an element extending from the first bristle holder.

An electric toothbrush is provided. The electric toothbrush includes a handle having an electric motor, a head, and a neck extending between the handle and the head. The head has first end disposed adjacent to the neck and a second end opposite the first end. The head has a first bristle holder with a plurality of bristles disposed therein and a second bristle holder having a plurality of bristles disposed therein. The first bristle holder is located at the second end of said head. A rotating shaft is operatively connected to the electric motor and to the first moving bristle holder to reciprocate the first moving bristle holder in a direction transverse to a longitudinal axis of the head.
