A bicycle handlebar assembly that includes a number of grip sites, forearm supports, and a number of structures that have airfoil shaped cross-sections and that provide a highly adjustable handlebar assembly with improved aerodynamic performance across the range of adjustment of the handlebar assembly. The handlebar assembly includes a pair of shim stacks that each includes a number of shims that are selectively mountable to the handlebar assembly to adjust a relative vertical height of left hand and right hand aerobars and arm pads. The aerobars and arm pads are secured to the handlebar by way of corresponding clamping assemblies such that the aerobars and arm pads are movably secured to the handlebar assembly to provide the highly adjustable aero handlebar assembly.

An improved all composite bicycle frame has three integral mating portions for the main triangle, asymmetric bottom bracket, improved composite layup, wall thickness, and tube geometry providing lighter weight and increased strength in an economical manner, an improved telescoping seat attachment fitting an integral seat mast and a fork having improved strength, weight and performance properties.

A quick release assembly for a bicycle wheel that includes a pair of heads disposed at generally opposite ends of a skewer rod. One of the heads includes a cam surface that is translatable relative to the head. The quick release includes an operator having a handle portion and a stem portion. The stem portion includes a cam that cooperates with the cam surface formed in one of the heads such that operation of the handle alters the distance between the heads from a first orientation wherein the heads secure a wheel to a bicycle, a second orientation wherein the heads loosely secure the wheel to the bicycle and a third orientation wherein the wheel assembly can be freely removed from the bicycle.

A bicycle seat post assembly that dampens movement between a seat and a bicycle frame. The seat post assembly includes a seat post, a collar that passes through the seat post, and a dampener that is disposed between the collar and the seat post. The collar is pivotably connected to the seat post so that the collar can rotate relative to the seat post. The collar rotates about an axis that extends in a crossing direction relative to both a longitudinal axis of the bicycle frame and a longitudinal axis of the seat post.

A continuous fiber reinforced plastic bicycle fork has continuous fibers extending from the tip of the fork blades to the steer tube, formed through optimum compaction, low void molding resulting in precise forming of the fork shell such that a metal steer tube, metal bearing races, metal dropouts and metal brake mount are used to attach metal components such as a headset and star-fangled nut, handlebar stem, wheel and brake thereby eliminating metal component to carbon fiber contact to preserve the integrity of the fiber reinforcements and plastic matrix.
