A recessed light fixture and methods for manufacturing the same are disclosed. Embodiments include a support base and an adjusting bracket pivotally connected to the support base, the support base capable of pivoting between a first pivot position and a second pivot position to facilitate a user moving the adjusting bracket. When a lighting source is connected to the adjusting bracket, a user is able to move the lighting source and bracket aside to facilitate the user accessing the region behind the lighting source and bracket, which can include a power supply box and door. In at least one embodiment, a single-blade bracket extends perpendicularly from the support base while in the first pivot position and does not extend perpendicularly from the support base while in the second pivot position.

An illustrative remodel light assembly for installation from a front side surface of a ceiling or wall panel, such as drywall, includes a collar inserted though and secured to a panel cutout with bendable fingers, a light housing, a light trim including a trim flange, the flange for abutting a front side surface of the panel, and a plurality of self-actuating spring clips coupled to an outer periphery of one of the light housing and light trim, the self-actuating spring clips engaging the collar. The collar provides a secure structure that lines the cutout and upon which the trim flange and self-actuating spring clips secure the light assembly.

An illustrative embodiment of a light fixture, which may be a type of recessed downlight called a wallwasher, includes a light housing and has a power supply, such as a driver and/or electrical junction box, mounted on or forming an arm. The arm is rotationally coupled to the light housing, with the arm having two axes of rotation relative to the light housing. That is, the arm freely rotates laterally about a first axis, and freely rotates in elevation about a second axis.
