Digital signage units for generating air quality related alerts and providing advertising images and/or wayfinding are disclosed, along with related systems and methods. The digital signage unit includes an air quality monitoring device located along an open loop pathway for ambient air. The air quality monitoring device includes sensor(s) and receives air characteristic measurement data from the sensor(s), where the air characteristic measurement data indicates a concentration for each of certain compound(s). Where the concentration of any one of the compound(s) exceeds a respective predetermined threshold, content displayed at an electronic display of the digital signage unit is modified to include displaying an alert.

System and method for monitoring air quality while cooling an outdoor electronic display assembly

Systems and methods for monitoring air quality of a geographic area are provided. Digital signage units include an electronic display and an air quality monitoring device located along an open loop pathway for ambient air. A monitoring subsystem receives air characteristic measurement data from the air quality monitoring devices of the digital signage units, which are installed at discrete locations within the geographic area, and subsequently generates a data summary of air characteristic measurements from the air characteristic measurement data from some or all of the digital signage units.

Devices, systems, and method for monitoring air quality are provided. Digital out-of-home advertising display units are located within a geographic area. The units include an electronic display for displaying advertising images located at a housing, an open loop pathway for ambient air extending between an ingestion and exhaustion area of the housing. An air quality monitoring device located along the open loop pathway includes comprising sensor(s) for measuring characteristics of encountered gasses which are electronically communicated by a network connectivity device to a monitoring station. The monitoring station generates visual representations of the received measurements, at least one of which summarizes the measurements from multiple ones of the units.

Systems and method for vehicle top advertising are provided. Cross bars span a roof of the vehicle. A vehicle top unit with an electronic display is attached to the cross bars. One or more exterior coverings are connected to at least one of: the cross bars and the vehicle top unit. Wiring is extended from a power source located outside of the vehicle top unit, along at least one of the cross bars, and to the vehicle top unit to place the electronic display in electrical connection with the power source. The exterior coverings each cover at least a respective portion of the wiring.

Roof mounted vehicle topper

A system and method for monitoring air quality is disclosed. A housing for an electronic display has a first pathway which extends between an ingestion area and an exhaustion area. An air quality monitoring device is located along said pathway and has one or more sensors that measure the concentration of various gases. The air quality monitoring device has a housing with a second pathway which connects an entrance aperture to exit aperture. The entrance aperture being configured to permit a portion of the ambient air in the first pathway to enter the second pathway.

Systems and method are disclosed for inconspicuously providing power to one or more electronic displays of a vehicle top unit from a power source located outside the vehicle top unit. The vehicle top unit is mounted to a first and second cross bar mounted to a roof of a vehicle. Wiring extends from the power source, along a portion of the vehicle, along or through at least one of the first and second cross bars, and to the vehicle top unit. A securing device secures the wiring to the portion of the vehicle.

Systems and method for mounting a vehicle topper to a roof of a vehicle are provided. A first and second cross bar are secured to the roof of the vehicle. A housing for first and second electronic displays of the vehicle topper is secured to the cross bars by way of mounting brackets. Wiring is extended between the vehicle topper and an outside power source to establish an electrical pathway between the power source and the first and second electronic displays when connected.

A cross bar for mounting a vehicle topper to a roof of a vehicle is provided. A center section has a rectangular cross section, a first end, and a second end. A first tapered section extends from the first end of the center section. A second tapered section extends from the second end of the center section. A longitudinal axis of the center section, the first tapered section, and the second tapered section extend primarily in the same direction.

Systems and method are disclosed which provide an inconspicuous electrical pathway between one or more electronic displays of a vehicle top unit and a power source for a vehicle. A housing for the electronic displays is mounted to a cross bar mounted to a roof of a vehicle. Festoon type wiring extends from the power source, along a black mask area of a windshield, along or through the cross bar, and to the housing. Double sided adhesive tape is positioned between said festoon wiring and a front surface of the windshield.

A roof mounted vehicle topper includes an electronic display, a housing for said electronic display, and a cross bar. The housing is mounted to the cross bar which is configured for mounting to the roof of a vehicle. At least a portion of the cross bar is hollow. A power source for said electronic display is located outside of said housing. Electrical wiring extends from said power source, through the hollow portion of said cross bar, to the electronic display.

Exemplary embodiments herein provide a wireless transmitter/receiver which receives a unique identifier from a smart device and finds associated order history stored on an electronic storage device. A display controlling assembly may generate individualized image data based on the associated order history and transmits the individualized image data to the electronic menu board for display. In some embodiments, menu information is sent directly to the smart device.
