A cover assembly () for a vehicle having an integrated fiber windshield rod () that is connected to a windshield area and held in place using windshield footman loop portions () eliminating the need for a windshield channel or windshield header. The windshield footman loop portions () have a plate () with a snap stud () for attaching a snap eyelet () of a web strap () to secure the fiber windshield rod () in place, which is connected to a fabric cover. The cover assembly () has a plurality of straps () to secure the sides and rear of the cover assembly to sport bars () of the vehicle. The fabric cover assembly () creates a sun screen and/or soft top liner effect over at least the vehicle cockpit and is storable in the installed position while the vehicle roof hard top roof assembly or soft top roof assembly is also in installed position on the vehicle.

Integrated rod attachment top

A vehicle soft top with a main body and removable panels. Each panel is at least partially received in a conforming cutout section in the main body and has a plurality of sides with the upper side preferably secured to the upper side of the cutout section by a pair of interconnecting, sliding members. The interconnecting members have mating hook portions that can be aligned with one another and slid axially relative to each other to hold the upper sides of the panel and main body together. A zipper is preferably used to secure second sides of the panel and cutout section together and the remaining sides are preferably secured together with either belt and channel arrangements or additional zippers.
