A motor vehicle lock for a movable vehicle part, in particular for a door, flap, tailgate, or bonnet, said lock having a lock housing and a rotary latch that is movably provided on the lock housing, and the rotary latch being movable into an open position and at least one engaged position. In addition, at least on buffer unit is provided on the lock housing and at least on braking element is located on the buffer unit, such that at least some portions of the braking element can be brought into contact with the rotary latch, at least while the rotary latch is moving into the open position.

Motor vehicle lock with braking element

The invention relates to a motor vehicle lock, comprising a lock housing, a lock case, a locking mechanism and an operating device, wherein at least one component of the operating device extends through an opening in the lock housing and said opening is designed with at least one reinforcing insert. The main area of the plate or the metal sheet from which the lock case is made is basically relatively large. In light of this, it has proved advantageous to form the reinforcing insert from the lock case. Waste is thus avoided.

Reinforced motor vehicle lock

The present invention relates to a lock having a lock housing () together with a lock cover (), a lock case (), a locking mechanism which is mounted on the base surface of the lock case (), and an activation device for opening the locking mechanism. An activation lever of the activation device is at least partially covered by a pivotable flap () of a lock covering means (). The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing the flap together with a lock cover () by injection molding.
