A rechargeable battery module includes a plurality of unit cells that are stacked in a first direction and electrically connected with each other; an end cell cover that is adjacent to an outermost unit cell in the first direction among the plurality of unit cells, the end cell cover including at least one adhesive accommodation buffer adjacent to an edge thereof; an end plate at an outer side of the end cell cover and configured to support the plurality of unit cells by pressing the plurality of unit cells in the first direction; and a side plate that extends in the first direction and is configured to support a side surface of the plurality of unit cells.

Rechargeable battery module

A battery module includes a module including a series of cell stacks, each having a series of unit cells arranged in a first direction, and an insulation member insulating at least one unit cell. The battery module also includes a module housing and a series of receiving parts in the module housing accommodating the cell stacks. Each receiving part includes a fixed wall around a respective cell stack and having a portion in contact with the cell stack. The fixed wall includes a pair of end walls at opposite ends of the receiving part in the first direction. The pair of end walls are configured to engage respective end surfaces of the corresponding cell stack in the first direction. The battery module also includes a cooling channel below a floor surface of the module housing for a coolant to flow to cool the receiving parts and the cells stacks.

Battery module

A battery pack includes: a plurality of battery cells each including a terminal surface on which a terminal unit is arranged, a bottom surface opposite the terminal surface, and first and second side surfaces connecting the terminal surface to the bottom surface; and pack cases accommodating the plurality of battery cells in two rows such that the bottom surfaces face each other, and including a flow path plate which is between the bottom surfaces of the battery cells in the two rows, and including a plurality of flow paths accommodating a flow of a cooling medium, and first and second tank plates which define first and second connection tanks, respectively, that are fluidly connected to the plurality of flow paths, and which extend across the flow path plate from upper and lower portions of the flow path plate, respectively, to cover the first and second side surfaces.

Battery pack

A battery module includes: a cell stack including a plurality of unit cells arranged in a first direction; and an insulating member around the plurality of unit cells; a plurality of module housings, each of the module housings including a plurality of receiving parts and receiving the cell stack; and a coupling part, and each of the receiving parts includes a fixing wall around the cell stack and having at least a portion which is in contact with the cell stack, and the fixing wall includes end walls at respective sides of each of the receiving parts in the first direction to engage end surfaces of respective sides of the cell stack in the first direction, and the coupling part is configured to be coupled to the coupling part of an adjacent battery module.

A battery module includes a cell stack in which a plurality of unit cells including terminal parts are aligned in a first direction and an insulating member surrounds the plurality of unit cells; and a module housing in which a plurality of receiving parts, into each of which the cell stack is configured to be inserted, are provided and are aligned in a first direction and a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, wherein each of the plurality of receiving parts includes a fixing wall around the cell stack and having at least a portion which is in contact with the cell stack. The cell stacks adjacent to each other in the second direction are electrically connected to each other, and the cell stacks adjacent to each other in the first direction are electrically disconnected from each other, when not connected to an end module.

A battery module includes a cell stack in which a plurality of unit cells are aligned in a first direction and including an insulating member surrounding the plurality of unit cells; and a module housing in which a plurality of receiving parts into which the cell stack is inserted are provided, wherein the receiving part includes a fixing wall surrounding the cell stack and having at least a portion which is in contact with the cell stack.

A battery module includes: a plurality of cell stacks, each of the cell stacks including: a plurality of unit cells arranged in a first direction; and an insulation member around the plurality of unit cells; and a module housing, in which a plurality of receiving parts are provided, ones of the cell stacks from among the plurality of cell stacks being located in a receiving part from among the plurality of receiving parts, and each of the receiving parts includes a fixing wall, the fixing wall being around the cell stack received therein and being in contact with the cell stack, and the module housing includes end walls at respective sides of each of the receiving parts in the first direction to engage end surfaces of respective sides of the cell stack received in the respective receiving part in the first direction.

A battery module includes first and second modules each including a series of cell stacks, each including a series of unit cells arranged in a first direction, and an insulation member insulating at least one unit cell. The battery module also includes a module housing, a coupling part on the module housing configured to couple the module housings of the first and second modules together, and a series of receiving parts in the module housing accommodating the cell stacks. Each receiving part includes a fixed wall around a respective cell stack and having at least a portion that is in contact with the respective cell stack. The coupling part includes a connector configured to electrically connect the module housings of the first and second modules together.

A rechargeable battery and a battery module are provided. According to embodiments, a rechargeable battery includes: an electrode assembly including a first electrode, a second electrode, and a separator; a case accommodating the electrode assembly therein and including an open side; a cap plate coupled to the open side of the case; and a terminal portion arranged on the cap plate to be electrically connected to the electrode assembly, and the terminal portion is slidable in a direction on the cap plate.
