The present invention relates to a mobile terminal including an input unit; a communication unit; a location information unit configured to obtain location information related to the mobile terminal; and a controller configured to: receive a message and a recipient through the input unit, determine a location information transfer mode set for the recipient, receive a message transfer command through the input unit, transfer the message with the location information to the recipient through the communication unit in response to the message transfer command, when the location information transfer mode is a first transfer mode, and transfer the message without the location information to the recipient through the communication unit in response to the message transfer command, when the location information transfer mode set to the recipient is a second transfer mode.

According to an embodiment, the mobile terminal includes a display; a communication unit; and a controller configured to receive together the message and a specific location information through the communication unit from a communication terminal, wherein the specific location information is location information excluding a current location of the communication terminal. The controller is further configured to display the message and the specific location information separately on the display such that the message and the specific location information can be identified separately from each other by a user of the mobile terminal.
