Disclosed herein are an apparatus and method for calculating a multiplicative inverse. The apparatus for calculating a multiplicative inverse includes a data input unit for receiving input data, a multiplicative inverse calculation unit for dividing an input degree-8 finite field corresponding to the input data into two first degree-4 finite fields so as to perform Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) encryption on the input data, and for performing a multiplicative inverse calculation on the first degree-4 finite fields in consideration of a circuit depth value (T-Depth) and qubit consumption of quantum gates in a quantum circuit, and a data output unit for outputting result data obtained by performing the multiplicative inverse calculation.

Disclosed herein are an apparatus and method for authenticating an IoT device. The method, performed by the IoT device authentication apparatus, includes transmitting, by the IoT device authentication apparatus, a random number to the IoT device and encrypting, by the IoT device authentication apparatus, the random number using a previously registered first white-box cryptography value through a white-box cryptography method; generating, by the IoT device, a first device response value from a previously registered first device challenge value using a Physical Unclonable Function (PUF) and encrypting, by the IoT device, the random number, received from the IoT device authentication apparatus, using the first device response value; and performing, by the IoT device authentication apparatus, authentication of the IoT device by checking whether the random number encrypted using the white-box cryptography method matches the random number encrypted using the PUF, which is received from the IoT device.

Encoding apparatus and method

Disclosed herein are a method of preventing fault-injection attacks on Chinese Remainder Theorem (CRT)-Rivest Shamir Adleman (RSA) cryptographic operations, and a recording medium for storing a program implementing the same. First, the method receives first and second primes, that is, different primes, and a randomly selected prime, that is, a random prime, which are used for CRT-RSA cryptographic operations. Thereafter, a cumulative value is calculated by performing an XOR (Exclusive OR) operation on the first prime, the second prime, and the random prime using a push function. Thereafter, the first prime, the second prime, and the random prime are loaded by performing an XOR operation on the cumulative value using a pop function corresponding to the push function. Finally, CRT-RSA operations are executed by computing modulo operations based on the first prime and the second prime.
