An antenna and a fabrication method of the antenna are provided. The antenna includes a plurality of sub-antennas arranged in an array. A sub-antenna of the plurality of sub-antennas includes a first substrate and a second substrate that are disposed opposite to each other, a dielectric function layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate, a ground metal layer disposed on a side of the first substrate facing towards the dielectric function layer, and a metal connector. The first substrate of each sub-antenna is coplanar with each other, and the second substrate of each sub-antenna is coplanar with each other. A spliced region is formed between adjacent two sub-antennas of the plurality of sub-antennas, and in the spliced region, two first substrates of the adjacent two sub-antennas are connected by the metal connector.

A liquid crystal antenna and a method for forming a liquid crystal antenna are provided. The liquid crystal antenna includes a first substrate; a second substrate opposite to the first substrate; and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. A first conductive layer is disposed on a side of the first substrate facing toward the second substrate; a second conductive layer is disposed on a side of the second substrate facing toward the first substrate; the second conductive layer at least includes a plurality of radiation electrodes; an external metal layer is disposed on a side of the first substrate facing away from the liquid crystal layer; and the external metal layer is connected to a fixed potential.

Liquid crystal antena and fabrication thereof

Provided are a liquid crystal antenna and a preparation method of the liquid crystal antenna. The liquid crystal antenna includes a liquid crystal cell and the liquid crystal cell includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a microstrip line, a ground metal layer, a liquid crystal layer, and frame glue. The liquid crystal antenna further includes a third substrate, a fourth substrate, and a radiation electrode. The third substrate extends beyond an edge of the first substrate. The fourth substrate extends beyond edges of the second substrate on at least two sides. A connection structure is disposed between the third substrate and the fourth substrate, and the connection structure is disposed on an outer side of the frame glue. The liquid crystal antenna and the preparation method of the liquid crystal antenna are provided to reduce preparation difficulty and improve reliability.

A liquid crystal antenna is provided. The liquid crystal antenna includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a liquid crystal layer, a plurality of transmission electrodes including a first transmission electrode and a second transmission electrode, a plurality of signal lines including a first signal line and a second signal line, a plurality of signal terminals including a first signal terminal and a second signal terminal, and a ground electrode. A transmission electrode is electrically connected to a signal terminal through at least one signal line. The first transmission electrode is connected to the first signal terminal through the first signal line, and the second transmission electrode is connected to the second signal terminal through the second signal line. A resistance of the first signal line is A, and a resistance of the second signal line is B, where A/B is less than 10.

Liquid crystal antenna

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a liquid crystal phase shifter and an antenna, which relate to the field of electromagnetic waves and can adjust carrier frequencies applicable to the liquid crystal phase shifter, improving compatibility of the liquid crystal phase shifter. The liquid crystal phase shifter includes at least one phase-shifting unit. The phase-shifting unit includes a microstrip line and a phase-controlled electrode, the microstrip line includes a plurality of sub-microstrip lines, each sub-microstrip line includes two ends and a transmission portion connected between the two ends, and any two adjacent sub-microstrip lines share one end. The phase-shifting unit further includes feed terminals located on a side of the first substrate facing away from the second substrate or on a side of the second substrate facing away from the first substrate, and each of the feed terminals overlaps the corresponding end respectively.

Liquid crystal phase shifter and antenna where effective lengths are different between an input feed terminal and multiple output feed terminals

Provided are a liquid crystal antenna, a manufacturing method thereof and a communication device having the liquid crystal antenna. The liquid crystal antenna includes a first metal electrode, a second metal electrode, a third metal electrode, at least two oppositely arranged substrates, and a liquid crystal layer located between the two oppositely arranged substrates. The two oppositely arranged substrates each include a light transmission area. The first metal electrode, the second metal electrode and the third metal electrode within the light transmission area each are a hollowed-out structure, and the light transmission area can be used to test a cell thickness of the liquid crystal cell. Since the cell thickness can be measured, other process parameters can be matched and adjusted, so that a mass production yield of the liquid crystal antennas is improved.

Provided is a liquid crystal phase shifter, including a first substrate and a second substrate opposite to the first substrate; a liquid crystal layer between the first and second substrates; phase-shifting units each including a microstrip line, a phased electrode and two feed terminals, the microstrip line is located between the first substrate and the liquid crystal layer, the phased electrode is located between the second substrate and the liquid crystal layer, the two feed terminals are located at a side of the first or second substrate facing away from the other, and in a direction perpendicular to the first substrate, two ends of the microstrip line respectively overlap the two feed terminals, the phased electrode includes at least two sub-electrodes spaced apart from each other, and the microstrip line includes effective line segments respectively corresponding to each sub-electrode, and the sub-electrodes covers a corresponding effective line segment.
