An electronic apparatus and/or method which may improve the performance of a sensor module. An electronic apparatus may include: a display panel; a fingerprint sensor arranged to overlap at least part of the display panel; and a processor operatively connected to the display panel and the fingerprint sensor, wherein the processor may: execute a fingerprint authentication function using the fingerprint sensor; identify an AMOLED off ratio (AOR) and luminance setting value of the display panel on the basis of the fingerprint authentication function being executed; linearly adjust the AOR according to a section to which the luminance setting value belongs or set the AOR to a designated minimum value; and perform fingerprint authentication by using the fingerprint sensor while the AOR is maintained at the minimum value. The present disclosure may further include various other embodiments.

Electronic apparatus and method which may improve performance of sensor module

An electronic device configured to configure brightness of a display by using an illuminance sensor is provided. The electronic device includes acquiring a second front-surface sensing value smaller than a first front-surface sensing value through a first illuminance sensor while the brightness is a first brightness, comparing the second front-surface sensing value with a first rear-surface sensing value detected through a second illuminance sensor, determining, when the second front-surface sensing value is greater than the first rear-surface sensing value, whether a touch input is detected through a designated region of the display, maintaining the brightness at the first brightness when the touch input is detected, and when the touch input is not detected, adjusting the brightness of the display to a value lower than that of the first brightness, based on a first LUT stored in a memory, or maintaining the brightness of the display at the first brightness.

An electronic device includes: a display device, a processor operatively connected to the display device, and a memory operatively connected to the processor. The memory stores one or more instructions that when executed, cause the processor to: determine, as a second screen code value, a code value obtained by reducing a first screen code value corresponding to a luminance value of a screen of the display device by a decrement based on the screen being maintained in a turned on state during a first specific time after a screen-off condition of the display device is satisfied, and change the luminance value of the screen to correspond to the determined second screen code value.

Disclosed is an electronic device including a processor configured to set a wake-up luminance of a display, based on a wake-up illuminance, to set, upon detecting an illuminance change through the illuminance sensor, a first target luminance of the display by using a first threshold illuminance value at a time point of detecting the illuminance change, to identify whether a flag setting related to an update of a threshold illuminance value is changed, while changing a luminance of the display based on the first target luminance, to determine the first target luminance as a final luminance of the display when there is no change in the flag setting, to update the first threshold illuminance value to a second threshold illuminance value when there is a change in the flag setting, and to change a target luminance of the display from the first target luminance to a second target luminance by using the second threshold illuminance value.
