Provided is a communication system for supporting higher data rates. A method by which a user equipment selects a beam for transceiving data to or from a base station in an initial access mode is provided. The method includes determining a first receive-beam-parameter including information about the number of receive antennas to be used for first beam searching, receiving, from the BS, a first transmit-beam-parameter including information about the number of transmit antennas to be used for the first beam searching, receiving first RS identified based on the first transmit-beam-parameter while changing a receive beam based on the first receive-beam-parameter, selecting a transmit beam and a receive beam to be used for data transmission and reception, based on the received first RS, and transmitting information about the transmit beam to the BS.

Method and apparatus for selecting beam in wireless communication system preliminary class

The disclosure relates to a wireless communication system, and relates to a method and apparatus for scheduling a plurality of user equipments (UEs) by considering a frequency selectivity. A method, performed by a base station, for transmitting or receiving data in a wireless communication system according to an embodiment includes determining a UE candidate group set based on channel state information for channels of a plurality of carriers, determining an offset used to adjust the number of UEs of the UE candidate group set, based on frequency selectivity information between a representative channel selected from among the channels of the plurality of carriers and other channels, based on the offset, determining a plurality of UEs to which data is to be transmitted, and transmitting the data to the determined plurality of UEs.

Method and apparatus for multi-user scheduling in wireless communication system

A method and a terminal for transmitting a feedback signal by a terminal in a wireless communication system are provided. The method includes receiving, from a base station, a feedback information configuration; receiving, from the base station, a reference signal; estimating a channel between the base station and the terminal based on the reference signal; configuring channel component information associated with separating each of a plurality of channel elements of the channel according to components of the plurality of channel elements; configuring grouping information associated with grouping the plurality of channel elements; and transmitting feedback information including the configured channel component information and the configured grouping information.

A method for adjusting transmit power of a serving base station in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes receiving measurement information indicating channel states of the serving base station and at least one neighbor base station from at least one serving user equipment (UE), receiving first information including information about transmit power of the at least one neighbor base station from the at least one neighbor base station, and determining the transmit power of the serving base station using the measurement information and the first information.

A method for transmitting feedback configuration information by a terminal configured to perform communication through a channel in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes configuring channel component information for separating each of a plurality of channel elements of the channel according to components of the plurality of channel elements; configuring grouping information for grouping the plurality of channel elements; configuring order sorting information for sorting an order of the plurality of channel elements; configuring probability distribution approximation information for probability distribution approximating the plurality of channel elements; and transmitting the configured channel component information, grouping information, order sorting information, and probability distribution approximation information.
