In certain embodiments, an electronic device may include: a touch-sensitive display; a processor operatively connected to the display; and a memory operatively connected to the processor, wherein the memory stores instructions which, when executed, cause the processor to: provide, through the display, a registration screen for registering an automation in the electronic device, the automation being defined as at least one action automatically executed when a designated trigger occurs; register an action in the electronic device as a feature of the automation through the registration screen, the action being selected by a user; and when the action registered as the feature of the automation corresponds to a data reference action configured to refer to data, display guidance information for a data processing action, the data processing action being configured to output a result value by using, as a first input value, an output value output as a result of executing the data reference action. Various other embodiments are possible.

An electronic device includes a communication circuit, a display, a microphone, a processor operatively connected to the communication circuit, the display, and the microphone, and a memory operatively connected to the processor, wherein the memory is configured to store instructions which, when executed, cause the processor to control the electronic device to: transmit information related to a predetermined event to a server through the communication circuit in response to detection of the predetermined event through an application, display a user interface through the display in response to reception of information related to the user interface including at least one visual object selectable by a user to control a function of the application through the communication circuit, receive a user-uttered input for selecting one of the at least one visual object included in the user interface through the microphone, and transmit information related to the user-uttered input to the server through the communication circuit to perform a function corresponding to the visual object selected by the user-uttered input.

Method of providing speech recognition service and electronic device for same

A method for processing plan is provided. The method includes multiple end points including obtaining an intent corresponding to a user utterance, generating the plan for setting a connection order of actions for executing the intent, determining whether there are multiple end points of the actions, determining whether the actions having different end points are independent, and combining actions having the same end points to generate a plurality of sub plans again and then processing the plurality of sub plans in parallel when the actions having the different end points are independent.
