An image processing apparatus for removing haze from an image includes a haze brightness measurer, a transmission estimator and an image reconstructor. The haze brightness measurer is configured to measure haze brightness in the image. The transmission estimator is configured to estimate a blockwise transmission based on a final cost function value calculated by a contrast and an image loss of the image, and to estimate a pixelwise transmission by using the blockwise transmission. The image reconstructor is configured to generate a reconstructed image by using the haze brightness and the pixelwise transmission.

Disclosed is a method and a system for providing a terminal-based ringback tone substitute service, as well as a mobile communication terminal for the same. Method and system for ring back tone alternative service based on terminal and mobile communication terminal therefor

Disclosed is a method for providing a multimedia Ring Back Tone (RBT) service by using a receiver-side switching center, which comprising the steps of: (a) receiving an ISDN User Part (ISUP) call connection request message including information (multimedia codec information) regarding a multimedia codec from a caller-side switching center when the originating terminal attempts a call connection to a terminating terminal; (b) transmitting the ISUP call connection request message including the multimedia codec information to a sound source-providing server; (c) requesting the caller-side switching center to set the multimedia codec, thereby activating a routing path for the RBT service; and (d) receiving a RBT sound source selected using the multimedia codec information from the sound source-providing server and transmitting the RBT sound source to the caller-side switching center.

Method and system for providing multimedia ring back tone service by using receiver-side switching center

Disclosed is a method, a system, and an apparatus for providing a sound source, which has been encoded by using an audio codec, as a ringback tone alternative having an improved quality by adaptively applying various audio codecs according to the service type so that, when a mobile communication terminal is provided with a ringback tone alternative by separately applying an audio codec and a voice codec to a ringback tone provision section and a voice communication section, respectively, it is unnecessary to individually and additionally change or modify a number of devices in a mobile communication network, but a specific device in an intelligent network controls other devices based on overall consideration of the ability of the mobile communication terminal, the type of the ringback tone alternative, etc.

Disclosed is a method and a system for setup of a multimedia codec and a voice codec between a mobile phone system and a terminal, in providing a multimedia RBT service capable of operating a multimedia codec allowing high quality music playback during an RBT interval and operating a voice codec such as an Enhanced Variable Rate Codec (Hereinafter, referred to as EVRC) during voice communication when an originating terminal supports the multimedia codec capable of improving the music quality in addition to a dedicated voice codec such as the EVRC.

Method and system for terminal codec setup of multimedia ring back tone service

Disclosed is a method for acquiring an Access Network Identification (ANID) of a currently connected portable Internet network when a mobile communication terminal connects to the portable Internet network. The method includes the steps of (a) receiving an MAC management message from a base station when the mobile communication terminal connects to the portable Internet network, (b) extracting a base station identification from the MAC management message, and (c) acquiring the ANID for identifying the network to which the mobile communication terminal has connected from the base station identification. According to the method, access network information of a portable Internet network is transferred to a different type of network when the portable Internet network inter-works with said different type of network, so that network information of a portable Internet system can be acquired.
