A curable composition is disclosed. The curable composition comprises (I) an epoxide-functional silicone-acrylate polymer and (II) an aminosiloxane. The epoxide-functional silicone-acrylate polymer comprises acrylate-derived monomeric units comprising siloxane moieties, epoxide-functional moieties, and optionally, hydrocarbyl moieties, and the aminosiloxane comprises an average of at least two amine functional groups per molecule. A method of preparing the curable composition is also disclosed, and includes reacting (A) an acryloxy-functional organosilicon component, (B) an epoxy-functional acrylate component, and optionally (C) an acrylate component, to give the epoxide-functional silicone-acrylate polymer (I), and combining the epoxide-functional silicone-acrylate polymer (I) with the aminosiloxane (II). An aminosiloxane-silicone-acrylate copolymer prepared with the composition, a cured product comprising the same, and methods of preparing the same, are also disclosed.

Silicone-acrylate polymers, copolymers, and related methods and compositions

A composition for forming a release coating is disclosed. The composition comprises (A) an organopolysiloxane comprising the reaction product of: (i) a silicone resin having a particular formula; (ii) a cyclic siloxane; and (iii) (iii) at least one of (A)(iii)(a) a branched organopolysiloxane having a particular formula or (A)(iii)(b) a terminating agent; in the presence of a polymerization catalyst. The composition further comprises (B) an organopolysiloxane including an average of at least two silicon-bonded ethylenically unsaturated groups per molecule.

Composition for preparing a release coating

There is provided curable silicone elastomer compositions having enhanced adhesive properties with respect to a wide variety of substrates. The curable silicone elastomer compositions described herein are provided with a phenylmethylpolysiloxane based additive which comprises at least one, alternatively at least two Si—H groups per molecule and at least one, alternatively at least two anhydride functional groups per molecule. Said phenylmethylpolysiloxane based additives provide resulting elastomers with improved heat-humidity stabilization.

Various embodiments disclosed relate to methods of separating volatile compounds from a liquid feed mixture comprising an emulsion. In various embodiments, the method includes contacting a first side of a first membrane with a liquid feed mixture including an emulsion having a polymer, and at least one volatile compound. The method can also include contacting a second side of the first membrane with a sweep medium including at least one a sweep fluid to produce a permeate mixture on the second side of the first membrane and a retentate mixture on the first side of the first membrane, wherein the permeate mixture is enriched in the volatile compound, and the retentate mixture is depleted in the volatile compound.

The present invention relates to methods of separating one or more components from a feed composition, methods of desorbing one or more components from an absorbent fluid, as well as systems and apparatus that can carry out the methods. In one embodiment, the present invention provides a method of separating one or more components from a feed composition including contacting at least some of a first component of a feed composition including the first component with an absorbent fluid, to provide a contacted composition and a used absorbent fluid including at least some of the first component contacted with the absorbent fluid. In some embodiments the absorbent fluid can be an organosilicon fluid including an organosilicon including at least one of a hydroxy group, an ether group, an acrylate group, a methacrylate group, an acrylamide group, a methacrylamide group, and a polyether group. In some embodiments, during the contacting the feed composition can be contacted to a first side of a membrane while the absorbent fluid is contacted to a second side of the membrane. In some embodiments, the membrane can be a silicone membrane.

Method and apparatus for separating one or more components from a composition

Various embodiments disclosed relate to method of forming organosilicon products. In various embodiments, the present invention provides a method of forming an organosilicon product that can include contacting a first side of a silicone membrane with a nonvolatile liquid reactant. The method can include contacting a second side of the membrane with a gaseous reactant. The contacting can be sufficient to react the gaseous reactant with the liquid reactant to form an organosilicon product on the first side of the silicone membrane. The silicone membrane can be substantially impermeable to the liquid reactant and substantially permeable to the gaseous reactant.

In various embodiments, the present invention provides a method of modifying the surface of an elastomer. The method can include contacting a polymerizable composition and at least part of a surface of an elastomer. The polymerizable composition can include a free-radical polymerizable monomers, an organoborane-organonitrogen free-radical initiator, and an amine-reactive compound. The method can include at least partially polymerizing the polymerizable composition, to provide a polymerization product of the polymerizable composition on the surface of the elastomer.

The present invention relates to a method of removing a gas from a mixture. The method includes contacting a silicone membrane with a feed mixture including at least a first gas component and contacting a second side of the membrane with an organosilicon sweep liquid, producing a retentate mixture depleted in the first gas component and an organosilicon sweep liquid enriched in the first gas component. The invention also provides methods of removing a gas from a liquid, and methods of regenerating and recycling an organosilicon sweep liquid.
