A method for operation of an electronic device and an electronic device are provided. The method includes determining if an object is detected at a first terminal and a second terminal among a plurality of terminals of an ear jack. If the object is detected, the impedance of the second terminal is calculated, and a type of the object is determined according to the calculated impedance.

Apparatus and method for preventing malfunction in an electronic device

An audio device connected to an electronic device is provided. The audio device connected to an electronic device includes an audio side connector comprising a microphone terminal that outputs a microphone signal to the electronic device, at least one audio terminal that receives an audio signal from the electronic device, an active noise cancelling (ANC) terminal, and a ground terminal, an ANC block that is driven by power input from the electronic device to remove noise around the audio device, an ANC power source unit that is provided in the electronic device and applies power input via the ANC terminal to the ANC block as drive power, and an on/off switch unit that controls the ANC power source unit, wherein the ANC terminal is included in any one of the areas of the microphone terminal, the audio terminal, and the ground terminal.

An insert injection-molded case that provides a better appearance and a reduced defective rate of manufacture can be utilized for a number of products, including but not limited to a cover for portable communication devices. The case preferably includes: a metal plate having one or more fixing portions coupled to fixing members formed in a mold respectively; an injection-molded case body injection molded with the metal plate; and one or more holding portions formed in the injection-molded case body during the injection molding and coupled to the fixing members respectively to prevent deflection of the injection-molded case body caused during a cooling operation after the injection molding.

A locking device for a sliding/swing type mobile terminal is provided. The terminal includes a body housing and a sliding housing which slides on the body housing and swinging to open and close. The locking device includes a sliding member connected to the sliding housing while enabling the sliding housing to slide, a swing member which assembles the sliding member while enabling the sliding member to swing, and a locking unit which includes the sliding member and the swing member, the locking unit which prevents the sliding housing from swinging while sliding and from sliding while swinging in a state before sliding.

A battery cover device for a portable terminal is provided. The battery cover device includes a battery recess formed on a surface of the terminal, a cover plate adapted to attach to and detach from a surface of the terminal to cover the battery recess, and a push rod adapted to protract to and retract from a surface of the terminal. The push rod receives elastic force to protrude from a surface of the terminal and release the cover plate from the terminal. The battery cover device is advantageous in that the cover plate can be easily released by using the push rod or elastic piece, and a battery pack can be easily mounted on a slim terminal.

The present invention relates to a method for improving an organism through the profiling of flux sum of metabolites, and more particularly to a method for screening key metabolites, the method comprises: plotting a profile between objective functions based on useful substance formation rate as a main function through an algorithm perturbing other functions influencing the production of useful substance; determining the utilization (flux sum (&#x3a6;)) of all metabolites from the profile; and screening key metabolites, which show an increase in flux sum (&#x3a6;) with an increase in useful substance formation rate. The present invention also relates to a method for improving an organism producing a useful substance, the method comprises introducing and/or amplifying genes associated with the screened key metabolites or introducing the genes from the outside into the organism. According to the disclosed invention, the metabolic utilization (flux sum; &#x3a6;) of specific metabolites according to an increase in useful substance formation rate can be predicted, so that key metabolites in increasing the production of a useful substance can be screened. Also, it is possible to increase the production of a useful substance through the method of improving a target organism by introducing and/or amplifying genes associated with the screened metabolites or through the method of supplying the metabolites during the culture of the organism.

Method of improvement of organisms using profiling the flux sum of metabolites

A swing hinge apparatus of a portable terminal is provided. In the portable terminal, a pair of housings is rotatably assembled while facing each other. The swing hinge apparatus includes a lower casing mounted and fixed to a first housing from among the pair of housings, a cam member mounted and fixed to a second housing from among the pair of housings and rotatably received in the lower casing, a guide groove formed on the lower casing and extending along a circumference, and a guide protrusion formed on a first surface of the cam member and moving along the guide groove according to rotation of the cam member, wherein both ends of the guide protrusion have inclined outer walls, both ends of the guide groove have inclined inner walls, and the guide protrusion is engaged with one of the inclined inner walls of the both ends of the guide groove, so as to limit a range of rotation of the cam member.
