A display device includes a display panel including a plurality of pixels, and a panel driver configured to receive input data, and to drive the display panel based on the input data. The panel driver includes a partial still image detector configured to detect a still image data portion in the input data by determining whether at least a portion of the input data represents a still image, and a command decoder configured to extract command data from the input data by decoding the still image data portion in which the command data are encoded.

A flexible display device includes a flexible display panel, a correction panel, and a flexible printed circuit board. The correction panel includes a shape memory polymer layer and a driver. The shape memory polymer layer includes microlenses and the driver control the microlenses. The flexible printed circuit board connects the driver to a driving circuit board.

Portable display device

A flexible display device includes a flexible display panel to display an image, a support panel including a shape memory polymer layer and a driver to control a shape of the shape memory polymer layer, and a flexible PCB connecting the driver to a driving circuit board. The support panel is coupled to a rear side of the display panel.

A display device may include a foldable display member. The foldable display member may include a first portion, a second portion, and a bendable portion. The first portion may be connected through the bendable portion to the second portion. The display device may further include a first controllable member that may overlap the bendable portion. The display device may further include a control unit connected to the first controllable member and configured to provide a first signal to control a size of the first controllable member according to a magnitude of an angle between the first portion and the second portion.
