An RF cavity filter is disclosed. The disclosed filter includes: a housing in which there is at least one cavity formed; a cover joined to an upper portion of the housing; at least one bolt inserted through at least one through hole formed in the cover; and at least one elastic element attached to the cover in an area below the through hole, where the bolt is inserted through the through hole to provide an external force on the elastic element, and the external force alters the shape of the elastic element. With the disclosed filter, pieces of metal debris created during tuning can be prevented from reaching the inside of the filter, and the degradation in the PIMD performance that would have otherwise occurred due to the pieces of debris can be avoided. Also, the filter can maintain a tuned state without the use of separate nuts.

RF cavity filter using elastic element and method for manufacturing the same

A cavity filter having a ceramic resonator is disclosed. The disclosed cavity filter may include: a housing in which at least one cavity is formed and which has a ceramic resonator held in the cavity; a ceramic ring joined to an upper part of the ceramic resonator; and a cover joined to one side of the housing, where a through-hole is formed in the ceramic resonator to form a penetration from one side to the other side along one direction, and a metal layer is formed on a surface on the one side of the ceramic resonator, on a surface on the other side of the ceramic resonator, and on the inner perimeter of the through-hole. The disclosed cavity filter can provide the advantage that it can be manufactured as a compact structure.

An RF filter for improving PIMD performance includes: a housing having at least one cavity and a dielectric resonator held in the cavity; washers shaped as circular plates and made of metal that are joined to an upper and lower portion of the dielectric resonator; and a cover joined to the housing. A protrusion may be formed on one side of the washer to contact the cover or the housing, where the washer protrusion may increase in height along a direction moving away from the center.

RF filter for improving PIMD performance

A cavity filter that uses cross-coupling is disclosed, which includes: a housing, in which multiple cavities are formed, with the cavities being open towards a first direction; multiple resonators held respectively in the multiple cavities; and a coupling member arranged to pass through an aperture between a first cavity and a second cavity, from among the multiple cavities, such that the coupling member is positioned between a first resonator and a second resonator. Here, the coupling member includes a first extending portion and a second extending portion, the first extending portion is positioned closer to the first resonator than to the second resonator and extends towards one side of the housing along the first direction, and the second extending portion is positioned closer to the second resonator than to the first resonator and extends towards the other side of the housing along the first direction.

Cavity filter using cross-coupling

Disclosed is a variable bandwidth RF filter. The disclosed filter comprises: a first filter unit having a first bandwidth and a variable-frequency structure; and a second filter unit having a second bandwidth and a variable-frequency structure. The first filter unit and the second filter unit are coupled to a cascade structure, and the bandwidth is adjusted by varying the frequency of the first filter unit and of the second filter unit. The disclosed filter is advantageous in that the variation of the bandwidth can be easily performed using a simple structure.

Variable bandwidth RF filter

A cavity filter is disclosed. The cavity filter includes: a housing in which at least one cavity is formed where the housing has a resonator held in the cavity; a cover joined to an upper portion of the housing; and a pressing member joined to the cover. An insertion area is formed in the cover for receiving the pressing member, where the insertion area includes a thin part that has a smaller thickness than the main body of the cover. The pressing member may be inserted in the insertion area to press the thin part. The pressing member includes an insert part that is inserted in the insertion area, and an elastic member that is joined to a lower portion of the insert part to press the thin part. The cavity filter can provide stable properties as the resonators are joined to the ground in a stable manner.

Cavity filter

A mixed-mode cavity filter is disclosed. The disclosed cavity filter includes: at least one first cavity configured to hold a metal coaxial resonator; and at least one second cavity configured to hold a dielectric resonator, where a first coupling window is formed in a wall formed between the first cavity and the second cavity, the first coupling window includes a horizontal window formed parallel to a bottom portion and a vertical window formed perpendicularly to the bottom portion, and the horizontal window and the vertical window overlap each other in at least a partial area. A mixed-mode filter according to an embodiment of the invention can achieve a small size and a light weight while providing low losses.

Mixed-mode cavity filter

A multi-mode filter for realizing wide band using capacitive coupling and inductive coupling and capable of tuning coupling value is disclosed. The multi-mode filter includes a housing; a first cavity and a second cavity formed in the housing; a first resonator located in the first cavity, a second resonator located in the second cavity, a wall configured to separate the first cavity from the second cavity; and a first coupling element, wherein a groove is formed between the housing and the wall, the first coupling element is inserted in the groove in crossing direction to the wall, one part of the first coupling element is disposed in the first cavity, another part of the first coupling element is disposed in the second cavity, and the first coupling element is connected to a ground.

Multi mode filter for realizing wide band using capacitive coupling / inductive coupling and capable of tuning coupling value

A multi-mode filter for realizing wide-band is disclosed. The multi-mode filter includes a housing; a plurality of cavities formed in the housing; a plurality of resonators located in each of the cavities; at least one connector formed through a side wall of the housing; and at least one coupling element connected to the at least one connector in the cavities, the at least one coupling element coupling the at least one connector with at least one of the resonators respectively, wherein each of the at least one coupling element has 'T' shape in view of front section and 'L' shape in view of side section.

Wide-band multi-mode filter

A DC blocking device of a small size is disclosed. The disclosed DC blocking device may include: an internal conductor where RF signals are inputted; and an external conductor electrically connected to a ground; wherein the internal conductor has an insertion groove, and an insertion conductor is inserted into the insertion groove without touching the internal conductor and at a designated distance, and the diameter of the external conductor in the portion where the insertion conductor is inserted is set to be different from the diameter of another portion. The disclosed DC blocking device has the advantages of minimizing the spatial constraint when the DC blocking device is mounted on a mobile communication device, and of achieving suitable coupling even if the length of the part where coupling is achieved is reduced in the DC blocking device.

A tunable filter for expanding tuning range includes: a housing, which has multiple cavities defined by partitions; a resonator contained in the cavity; at least one sliding member installed over the resonator; a main cover coupled to an upper portion of the housing; and at least one tuning element coupled to a lower portion of the sliding member and made of a metallic material. Tuning is accomplished by a sliding motion of the sliding member, and the resonator includes a cylindrical first conductor and a second conductor coupled to an upper portion of the cylindrical conductor, where a cross section of the second conductor is shaped as a circle with a portion removed such that an area of overlap between the tuning element and the second conductor is varied according to a sliding of the tuning element.

Tunable filter for expanding the tuning range

A frequency-tunable filter using a sliding system is disclosed. The frequency-tunable filter includes: a housing, in which a multiple number of cavities are defined by partitions; a sub-cover, which is coupled to an upper portion of the housing and in which a guide groove is formed; at least one sliding member installed in the guide groove; a main cover coupled to an upper portion of the sub-cover; a resonator held in the cavity; and at least one tuning element coupled to a lower portion of the sliding member to be inserted inside the housing, where tuning is achieved by a sliding movement of the sliding member, and at least one first guide member is coupled to at least one side surface of the sliding member such that the first guide member guides a sliding movement by way of contact with the side surface of the guide groove.
