A flexible display panel includes: a flexible panel including a first region including a display region; a first non-display region bent with respect to the display region; a second non-display region bent with respect to the display region, the second non-display region facing the first non-display region; a third non-display region comprising a first portion being bent with respect to the display region and a second portion being bent with respect to the first portion, the third non-display region being disposed between the first non-display region and the second non-display region; a fourth non-display region disposed on an opposite side of the display region from the third non-display region; and a flexible encapsulation member disposed on the flexible panel so as to encapsulate at least the display region.

A substrate for a flexible display is disclosed. The substrate has a film stress range that does not affect an electronic device such as a thin film transistor, and includes a barrier layer having excellent oxygen and moisture blocking characteristics, and a method of manufacturing the substrate. The substrate includes; a plastic substrate having a glass transition temperature from about 350° C. to about 500° C.; and a barrier layer disposed on the plastic substrate, having a inti layer structure, wherein at least one silicon oxide layer and at least one silicon nitride layer are alternately stacked on each other, and having a film stress from about −200 MPa to about 200 MPa due to the at least one silicon oxide layer and the at least one silicon nitride layer.

A flexible display panel including: a flexible substrate including a first region, second regions that extend from the first region and that have a curved surface, and a third region folded towards the second regions; a first display region in the first region of the flexible substrate; a second display region in the second regions of the flexible substrate; a plurality of non-display regions outside the first display region or the second display regions, wherein at least one of the plurality of non-display regions is in the third region of the flexible substrate; and an encapsulation member for encapsulating the first display region and the second display regions.

A flexible display comprises a flexible substrate made of plastic material, a display element on a first surface of the flexible substrate, and a surface residual film containing at least one of a metal material or a metal oxide material. The surface residual film is bonded to at least a part of a second surface of the flexible substrate. The second surface is opposed to the first surface. A method for manufacturing a flexible display comprises preparing a glass substrate, forming adhesive material film on the glass substrate, the adhesive material film being made of at least one of a metal material or a metal oxide material, and forming a flexible substrate from plastic material on the adhesive material film.
