The maritime communication apparatus includes a first access module configured to comprise a plurality of directional antennas integrally formed; a second access module configured to comprise an omni-directional antenna; and a bridge configured to be connected to the first access module and the second access module via an Ethernet interface.

Provided are a method and apparatus for ensuring a cleaning robot to return to a charge station. The method includes the steps of: (a) measuring a battery usable time, a running speed, and an actual return distance of a cleaning robot during a cleaning operation; (b) calculating an allowable return distance on the basis of the battery usable time and the running speed; (c) comparing the actual return distance with the allowable return distance; and (d) returning the cleaning robot to the charge station when the actual return distance is larger than the allowable return distance as a result of the comparison. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the cleaning robot from being not returned to the charge station, thereby providing convenience to a user.

An apparatus and a method for providing a video content service in a vehicle are provided. The apparatus includes a speed detection unit detecting a speed of the vehicle using a global positioning system, a status detection unit detecting a status of a parking brake, and a video control unit controlling one or more display apparatuses so that an the video contents are displayed when the speed of the vehicle is determined to be below a predetermined speed based on information on the detected status of the parking brake and the detected speed of the vehicle. Provided is a network global positioning system (GPS) terminal. The network GPS terminal includes: a GPS receiver receiving GPS data; a GPS processor processing the received GPS data to a predetermined form; a network communication part communicating with an external apparatus through a network in order to receive a request for the GPS data from the external apparatus, and transmit the processed GPS data to the external apparatus in response to the request; a security access controller authenticating the external apparatus; and a network management part managing connection information and security information of the external apparatus, the network communication part simultaneously communicating with at least one external apparatus using a TCP/IP protocol. A method of providing GPS data using a network is also provided.
