Methods, systems and devices compute and use the execution session contexts of software applications to perform behavioral monitoring and analysis operations. A mobile device may be configured to monitor user activity and system activity of a software application, generate a shadow feature value that identifies actual execution session context of the software application during that activity, generate a behavior vector that incorporates context into the values describing behaviors, and determine whether the activity is malicious or benign based, at least in part, on the generated behavior vector. The mobile device processor may also be configured to intelligently determine whether the execution session context of a software application is relevant to determining whether any of the monitored mobile device behaviors are malicious or suspicious, and monitor only the execution session contexts of the software applications for which such determinations are relevant.

Devices and methods for classifying an execution session

An apparatus and a method for color compensation in multi-view video is provided. Video sequences corresponding to a common scene of interest are captured and processed using the master and slave channels respectively. A compensation gain is calculated based on a set of global color ratio statistics obtained from the master and slave channels. The compensation gain is applied to the slave channel. An initial master color correction matrix is combined with a master color matching matrix to obtain a final master color correction matrix. The initial slave color correction matrix is combined with a slave color matching matrix to obtain a final slave color correction matrix. The master and gain-compensated slave channels are color-compensated by applying the final master and final slave color correction matrices to the master and gain-compensated slave channels, respectively.

Systems and methods for color compensation in multi-view video

An imager includes an array of pixels arranged in rows and a control circuit for sequentially capturing first and second image frames from the array of pixels. The control circuit is configured to sequentially capture first and second pairs of adjacent rows of pixels during first and second exposure times, respectively, when capturing the first image frame. The control circuit is also configured to sequentially capture first and second pairs of adjacent rows of pixels during second and first exposure times, respectively, when capturing the second image frame. The first exposure times during the first and second frames are of similar duration; and the second exposure times during the first and second frames are of similar duration. The control circuit is configured to detect motion of an object upon combining the first and second image frames and, then, correct for the motion of the object.

Method and apparatus for capturing high dynamic range images using multi-frame interlaced exposure images

A method and system for estimating global motion in digital imaging applications with confidence level filtering. Motion search yields a plurality of vectors describing the movement of feature blocks from one frame to another. A confidence level is assigned to each motion vector. Based on the confidence levels, vectors are given more or less weight when estimating global motion. High-confidence vectors are given more weight than low-confidence vectors. Embodiments for estimating both the magnitude of global motion and the magnitude and direction of global motion are disclosed.

Method and system for motion estimation in digital imaging applications

A system for estimating noise levels in a data stream includes a calculator for determining DC and AC values of DCT coefficients in coded data blocks, where the coded data blocks are within a strip of an image divided into multiple strips. A classifier is included for forming a plurality of luminance levels, based on the calculated DC values. A selector is included for selecting coded data blocks having minimum AC values, as computed by the calculator. At least two coded data blocks are selected for each of the luminance levels. After decoding, another calculator is used for determining a variance for each of the decoded data blocks corresponding to the selected coded data blocks in each strip. An order statistic filter is included for ordering the decoded data blocks in each strip based on the calculated variances. Another selector selects one of the decoded data blocks, for each of the luminance levels.

Image noise level estimation from JPEG data

Apparatus, systems, and methods disclosed herein may estimate the magnitude of relative motion between a scene and an image capture device used to capture the scene. Some embodiments may utilize discrete cosine transform and/or Sobel gradient techniques to identify one or more blocks of pixels in an originating calibration image frame. Matching blocks of pixels may be located in a successive calibration image frame. Motion vectors originating at one calibration frame and terminating at the other calibration frame may be calculated. The magnitude of relative motion derived thereby may be used to adjust image capture parameters associated with the image capture device, including exposure settings.
