In implementation, a mobile station receives power control information including information for controlling transmit power of the mobile station, generates matching control information for antenna impedance matching based on the received power control information, and performs antenna impedance matching depending on the generated matching control information.

An apparatus and a method for compensating for a Transmission (Tx) gain in a transmitter of a wireless communication system are provided. The apparatus includes a Tx Automatic Gain Control (AGC) for generating at least an adjustment value for controlling a Tx gain; a Tx Power Adjust (TPA) controller for generating a compensation value for compensating for Nonlinear Compensate Table (NCT) control information using frequency and temperature changes according to operations of the transmitter and the adjustment value provided from the Tx AGC; and an NCT controller for generating the NCT control information using the adjustment value provided from the Tx AGC, and compensating for the NCT control information with the compensation value output from the TPA controller.

Apparatus and method for compensating Tx gain in wireless communication system

A method for performing Forward Error Correction (FEC) in a Turbo-Bell Labs Layered Space-Time (BLAST) Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) communication system. The FEC method includes performing soft decision on a frame received via a plurality of antennas; performing iterative decoding on the soft decision result value a predetermined number of times, and outputting Log Likelihood Ratio (LLR) values for information bits and first parity bits constituting the frame; generating second parity bits by coding information bits calculated from the LLR values, and comparing the first parity bits calculated from the LLR values with the coded second parity bits; and if the first parity bits are identical to the second parity bits, outputting the information bits, determining that there is no error, and if the first parity bits are not identical to the second parity bits, feeding back the LLR values as a-priori information of the soft decision, and returning to the performing of soft decision.

Apparatus and method for correcting error in a multiple-input multiple-output communication system

An apparatus and method for estimating and combining frequency errors in a mobile communication system. A controller divides data received from a main base station (BS) and control information received from a neighbor BS and controls allocation to fingers. A main automatic frequency control (AFC) loop is formed by estimating and combining frequency errors of the data received from the main BS. A sub AFC loop is formed by subtracting a corrected value of the main AFC loop after estimating and combining frequency errors of the control information received from the neighbor BS.
