An upper arm module of a wearable muscular strength assisting apparatus is provided. The upper arm module includes a base part configured to be connected to a wearer's body, and an upper arm part having a first end thereof coupled to the base part to be rotatable about a fixed point. The upper arm part is coupled to the wearer's upper arm to apply a torque thereto. The upper arm module further includes an elastic body having a first end thereof fixedly coupled to the upper arm part and generating an elastic force by deformation. In particular, the upper arm module also includes a first link having a first end thereof rotatably coupled to the base part at a point of application, and a second link rotatably coupled to the second end of the first link at a first point.

A strength assist device includes: a base frame; a plurality of rotating bodies provided on left and right sides of the base frame, and rotatably connected to the base frame; a plurality of actuators rotatably connected to the respective rotating bodies, and forming respective restoring torques according to rotation angles with respect to the rotating bodies; and a cable connecting the rotating bodies. In particular, rotational motions of the rotating bodies with respect to the base frame are restricted against each other by a tension of the cable.

A walking assisting apparatus includes a leg mounted device configured to be mounted on a leg of a user to assist walking of the user. A waist mounted device is provided on an upper side of the leg mounted device and configured to be mounted on a waist of the user. A support is located on a front side of the leg mounted device and configured to contact a ground surface. A control device is coupled to a front side of the waist mounted device, electrically connected to the leg mounted device, and configured to control the leg mounted device. A connector connects the control device and the leg mounted device to detachably house the support.

A system and a method for controlling a robot finger may include a processor to determine a mapping function using a kernel matrix means of a multichannel electromyographic (EMG) signal to train a learning algorithm using at least one EMG signal training sample), and a storage to store data and an algorithm driven by the processor. The processor determines a kernel matrix by applying a polynomial function of the second order to the multichannel EMG signal time sample, and performs an operation for the kernel matrix and the mapping function to output a signal for controlling the robot finger.
