A transdermal drug delivery patch and a method of controlling the drug release of the transdermal drug delivery patch by near-IR are disclosed. The transdermal drug delivery patch comprises a substrate, carriers and drugs. The drugs are encapsulated in the carriers, and the carriers having the drugs are disposed on a surface of the substrate. The carriers are formed of biodegradable polymers, and nano-particles with a photothermal conversion effect are loaded in the carrier. When the carriers are punctured into the skin and the nano-particles in the carrier absorb the near-IR, the near-IR is converted into heat by the nano-particles to melt the carrier and thus releasing the drugs encapsulated in the carrier into the skin. Accordingly, the speed of releasing the drugs encapsulated in the carrier can be controlled accurately by the near-IR.

The present invention relates to a nano-carrier for an anticancer drug, which comprises: a metal nanoparticle; and a polynucleotide for connecting with an anticancer drug having a pyrimidine group or a purine group, wherein the polynucleotide connects to a surface of the metal nanoparticle, and the anticancer drug binds to the polynucleotide through the pyrimidine group or the purine group. In addition, the present invention also provides a complex of an anticancer drug and a nano-carrier, a pharmaceutical composition thereof, a method for manufacturing the complex, and a method for treating a cancer by using the pharmaceutical composition.

Magnetic nanoparticles and a method for producing the same are disclosed. A carboxylated polysaccharide with various functions such as chelating and ion exchange is covalently bound on the surfaces of magnetic nanoparticles. The polysaccharide-bound magnetic nanoparticles are highly stable, well dispersed, and have many advantages of high adsorption capacity, fast adsorption rate and easy magnetically manipulation. Hence, the polysaccharide-bound magnetic nanoparticles are applied to adsorb many ionic substances, and further act as an adsorbent for wastewater treatment or biochemical separation, a carrier for drugs or gene site-directed delivery, and a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) contrast agent.
