A first-stage turbine vane supporting structure reduces chordal leakage between a first-stage turbine vane segment and its supporting ring. The structure includes a first-stage turbine vane segment including an outer platform, an inner platform, and a first-stage turbine vane disposed between the inner and outer platforms; an inner rail protruding from the inner platform in a longitudinal direction of the first-stage turbine vane; a supporting ring for supporting the first-stage turbine vane segment by engaging with the inner rail while facing one surface of the inner rail; a supporting member engaging with the supporting ring to define a U-shaped space bordered by three side surfaces surrounding the inner rail; and a flexible member interposed between the inner rail and one of the three side surfaces of the U-shaped space. A protrusion formed on the inner rail engages with a sealing surface of the supporting ring in an airtight manner.

First-stage turbine vane supporting structure and gas turbine including same

A turbine vane assembly and a gas turbine including the turbine vane assembly are capable of adjusting a flow rate and a supply pressure of seal air by adjusting the area of a purge hole. The turbine vane assembly includes a turbine vane disposed between an outer platform and an inner platform; a U-ring unit formed of opposite sides that face each other and are each coupled to the inner platform to form a cavity; a first purge hole formed in one side of the U-ring unit to communicate with each of the cavity and a first wheel space, the first purge hole having an area that is adjustable in size; and a second purge hole formed in the other sides of the U-ring unit to communicate with each of the cavity and a second wheel space, the second purge hole having an area that is adjustable in size.

Turbine vane assembly and gas turbine including the same

A conjunction assembly provides a seal, in a connected state, between a conjunction ring constituting an outlet of a combustor and a turbine inlet cylinder constituting an inlet of the turbine. The conjunction assembly includes a connecting member that protrudes from the conjunction ring; a connecting groove for receiving the connecting member, the connecting groove formed in the turbine inlet cylinder; and a connection sealing member disposed between the connecting member and an inner surface of the turbine inlet cylinder to provide a seal between the connecting member and the inner surface of the turbine inlet cylinder. The connecting member is a ring-like structure formed on a rear-side surface of the conjunction ring, the rear-side surface facing the turbine inlet cylinder, and the connecting groove is formed in a front-side surface of the turbine inlet cylinder in correspondence to the connecting member, the front-side surface facing the conjunction ring.

Conjunction assembly and gas turbine comprising the same

The present invention relates to a gas turbine which includes a cooling system provided with cooling air supply paths bypassed through an outside casing and, more specifically, to a gas turbine including a cooling system and a cooling method, wherein, in order to supply cooling air to a plurality of turbine blades and other devices provided to the inside of the gas turbine, cooling air supply paths are not provided to the rotor center shaft of the gas turbine but provided around the outer casing of the gas turbine so as to achieve the increased effect in the aerodynamic efficiency of the compressor and the turbine. According to the above structure and method, it may be possible to provide the cooling air supply paths not to the rotor center shaft of the gas turbine but around the outer casing of the gas turbine, thereby finally achieving the increased effect in the aerodynamic efficiency of the compressor and the turbine.
