An engine system may include: an engine including cylinders that generate a driving torque by combusting fuel; a first intake manifold connected to an intake line through which flows intake air into some of the plurality of cylinders; a second intake manifold supplying the intake air to the other cylinders of the plurality of cylinders through the first intake manifold; a first exhaust manifold connected to some cylinders that are connected to the first intake manifold; a second exhaust manifold connected to some other cylinders that are connected to the second intake manifold; a recirculation line branched from the second exhaust manifold to be coupled to the second intake manifold; a recirculation inlet valve disposed at a point at which the recirculation line and the second exhaust manifold are joined; and a manifold connection valve disposed on an intake line between the first intake manifold and the second intake manifold.

Engine system

A control valve of a multi-supercharger system is provided. The control valve includes a first spool rotatably fitted in a valve body and a second spool fitted in the valve body to be coaxially rotatable together with the first spool. A disk member is installed in the valve body to partition a first chamber, in which the first spool is disposed, and a second chamber, in which the second spool is disposed, from each other. A portion of the disk member includes a communication sector, through which the first chamber and the second chamber communicate with each other. A first inlet and a first outlet are disposed in the valve body and a second inlet and a second outlet are disposed in the valve body. A first valve aperture is formed in the first spool for allowing the first spool to communicate with the communication sector.

Control valve of multi-supercharger system

An exhaust manifold may include first to fourth exhaust pipes respectively connected to first to fourth cylinders which is sequentially disposed in an engine, the exhaust manifold may include a first exhaust manifold including the second exhaust pipe connected to the second cylinder and the third exhaust pipe connected to the third cylinder; a second exhaust manifold including the first exhaust pipe connected to the first cylinder, the fourth exhaust pipe connected to the fourth cylinder and the first exhaust pipe, and a recirculation valve apparatus mounted in the first exhaust pipe; wherein the second exhaust pipe and the third exhaust pipe are directly connected to a converter housing for mounting a catalytic converter in which purifies exhaust gas, and wherein the fourth exhaust pipe is connected to the first exhaust pipe at upstream of the recirculation valve, and the first exhaust pipe is directly connected to the converter housing.

Exhaust manifold

An engine may include an engine including combustion chambers, an intake line connected to the plurality of combustion chambers and through which outside air supplied to the combustion chamber flows, an intake manifold connected to an intake side of the combustion chamber, an exhaust manifold connected to an exhaust side of the combustion chamber, an exhaust line connected to the exhaust manifold, a turbocharger including a compressor mounted in the intake line, and a turbine rotating in association with the compressor and connected to the exhaust manifold and the exhaust line, a wastegate passage bypassing the turbine from the exhaust manifold, an electric supercharger connected to the compressor of the turbocharger by the intake line, a power device electrically-connected to the electric supercharger and configured for supplying electric power to the electric supercharger or absorbing and storing electric power generated by the electric supercharger, and a controller for controlling the operation of the power device and the electric supercharger according to rotation speed of the engine.

An intake manifold according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention may include a first intake manifold having a second intake pipe, a third intake pipe, and a first surge tank which temporarily stores intake air flowing through an intake line and distributes the intake air to the second intake pipe and the third intake pipe. A second intake manifold has a first intake pipe, a fourth intake pipe, and a second surge tank which temporarily stores intake air flowing through the intake line and distributes the intake air to the first intake pipe and the fourth intake pipe.

Intake manifold

An engine system according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention may include an engine including a plurality of cylinders; a fuel separator separating into a low-octane fuel and a high-octane fuel based on an octane number; a cylinder deactivation device deactivating some cylinders among the plurality of cylinder based on a driving region; a low-octane fuel injector injecting the low-octane fuel separated by the fuel separator into the plurality of cylinder; a high-octane fuel injector injecting the high-octane fuel separated by the fuel separator into the activated cylinders without being deactivated by the cylinder deactivation device; and a controller configured to control the cylinder deactivation device to deactivate some cylinders or activate all the cylinders, and to control the low-octane fuel injector and the high-octane fuel injector to inject the low-octane fuel or the high-octane fuel into the cylinders.

A cooling system for an engine, may include a low temperature radiator; an intercooler installed to receive a coolant cooled from the low temperature radiator and restore the coolant to the low temperature radiator again after heat exchange; a water pump installed to supply the coolant to the intercooler by pumping the coolant cooled from the low temperature radiator; a motorized supercharger installed to receive the coolant from the intercooler; and a reservoir installed to store the coolant passing through the motorized supercharger and deliver the coolant to a coolant line between the low temperature radiator and the water pump.

Cooling system for engine

A recirculation valve configured to open or close a recirculation line connected to a front stage of a compressor from a rear stage of the compressor on an intake line of an engine is provided. The valve includes a recirculation valve adaptor that has an inlet into which gas is introduced formed in a bottom thereof, having an outlet from which the gas is discharged formed in a first side of a side surface thereof, and having an inner space connected to the inlet and the outlet and in which the gas flows. A plug is configured to open or close the inlet and the outlet. The inner space has an asymmetric shape in which a width in a horizontal direction is increased in a direction from the other side of an inside surface to one side thereof.

Recirculation valve for turbo charger engine

A blow-by gas purge apparatus includes: a positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve disposed on a cylinder head; a head passage penetrating on the cylinder head to communicate with a discharge side of the PCV valve; and a port adaptor interposed between the cylinder head and an intake manifold. The port adaptor includes: multiple intake communication holes such that each intake runner of the intake manifold communicates with each intake port of the cylinder head; an inlet hole communicating with the head passage; and a distribution passage dividing and supplying blow-by gases introduced through the inlet hole into the multiple intake communication holes.

Blow-by gas purge apparatus for engine

An exhaust gas control valve of an engine, which includes a plurality of engine exhausts ports, a catalytic converter, a plurality of combustion chambers, and an Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) line, includes: a valve body having an inflow port communicating with only some of the plurality of engine exhaust ports, an exhaust port communicating with the catalytic converter and a recirculation port communicating with the EGR line; and a valve flap assembly rotatably installed at the valve body to block one of the exhaust port and the recirculation port while opening the other of the exhaust port and the recirculation port.

An apparatus for controlling an engine includes an engine including a plurality of combustion chambers for generating driving torque by burning a fuel, a high-capacity turbocharger including a turbine rotated by the exhaust gas exhausted from the combustion chambers and a compressor rotated together with the turbine for compressing exhaust gas exhausted from the combustion chamber, an electric supercharger including a motor and an electric compressor operated by the motor, a throttle valve for adjusting an intake air amount supplied to the combustion chamber, a driving information detector for detecting driving information including a required torque and an engine speed, and a controller for determining a driving region of the engine from the driving information detected by the driving information detector, and controlling engine torque by adjusting an opening of the throttle valve and an output of the motor according to the driving region of the engine.
