Disclosed herein are an apparatus and method for measuring a volume of an object. The object volume measuring apparatus includes an area measuring unit that includes a detection sensor, which is arranged at predetermined spacing in a single row along lengthwise edges and widthwise edges of a plate respectively, where an object is placed, measures a length and a width according to the numbers of detection sensors lengthwise and widthwise respectively in which the edges are detected, and calculates an area of the object according to the measured length and width, a height measuring unit that is located above the plate and comprises a distance measuring sensor for measuring a height of the object when the object is placed, and an object calculation unit for calculating a volume of the object based on the area and the height.

Apparatus of measuring volume of object and method therefor

Provided is an apparatus for receiving an unmanned mail capable of automatically acquiring the address information even though the user does not directly input the address information. The apparatus acquires address information of an addressee by automatically recognizing the address of the mail when the address is written on the mail, and acquires the address information of the addressee through the paper on which the address is printed or written, identification, and biometric recognition when the address is not written on the mail. The apparatus may acquire the address information of the addressee through a mail sender's voice.

Provided is a package automation apparatus including: a detection unit configured to detect package information of a package conveyed to a tray; a chute operation unit configured to operate a package loading chute so that the package is loaded on at least one of a plurality of sorting spaces formed at a pallet adjacent to the tray; and a control unit configured to transfer an operation control signal of the package loading chute to the chute operation unit so that the package is loaded on any one of the plurality of sorting spaces, based on the package information, in order to easily sort the package automatically.
