An apparatus and process for impinging a fluid upon an object to be treated is described. A generally conical-shaped flow of fluid is directed from the cleaning device onto a surface. The fluid contacts the surface and then is reflected through an opening defined by the device and against a deflection plate. The deflection plate has a shape configured to direct the fluid into a fluid return and back onto the surface to be treated.

Fluid cleaning device

A carpet washing attachment with a vacuum hose attached to a washing head with a liquid line feeding water/cleaning fluid into washing head is disclosed. Washing head is formed of hollow members and a cover sealed to the top washing head with the vacuum hose attached to the cover. This forms cleaning area which is surrounded by the hollow members. Each of the hollow members has water jet holes located on the inner part of the washing head such that the water exiting the holes is projected inward so that the jets of water come to an apex and intersect at a given distance X from the bottom of the washing head. The angle of the jets and the spacing of members should be chosen such that the distance X is roughly the depth of the carpet pile to be washed.

Carpet cleaning device

A fluid recirculating cleaning device includes an exhaust port defining an exhaust port longitudinal axis, a fluid source end and an exhaust end defining a first cross-sectional area. A suction port includes a suction port longitudinal axis, a fluid exit end and a fluid entrance end defining a second cross-sectional area greater than the first cross-sectional area. The suction port includes a second outer surface that extends from the entrance end toward the fluid exit end. A vacuum blower motor sucks fluid in through the suction port to create fluid flow away from the vacuum motor and toward the exhaust port exhaust end. The exhaust port exhaust end is recessed from the suction port fluid entrance end and the two ports are located with respect to one another so that fluid flow from the exhaust port will be effectively drawn into the suction port.

Air recirculating surface cleaning device

An apparatus and method of drying hair in which an axial flow of heated air is diverged from the axis toward a circular array of flow nozzles at a selected flow velocity. The nozzles direct the heated air along a conical flow pattern such that the air is focused to a common point. When the circular array is positioned such that a hair-carrying surface, e.g., the scalp of a user, is located between the circular array and the common point, hair will be lifted to provide enhanced drying conditions. The circular array is located on a nozzle structure which may be integral with the housing of a hand-held hair dryer, or configured as a separable attachment.

Hair dryer apparatus and method

A golf ball retriever device and method of using same for recovering golf balls from a water hazard. The device comprises an open frame portion having a pair of longitudinal frame members and a plurality of interconnecting ball catching members. The ball catching members are spaced to entrap golf balls while allowing smaller objects in the water hazard to pass through. The device further includes an extension portion having a tie end located forwardly of the open frame portion. A tether cord of a predetermined length is attached to the tie end of the extension portion. After being thrown into the water hazard to a location beyond the golf ball to be retrieved, the tether cord is pulled so that the golf ball is entrapped and thereby recovered. The extension portion helps the device maintain a correct orientation while it is pulled without digging into the soft bottom of the water hazard. Preferably, the extension portion is also removable so that the device can be made compact for storage.

Golf ball retriever device and method of using same

An apparatus and process for impinging a fluid upon an object to be treated. A generally conical shaped flow of fluid is directed from a body which has an opening at the base of the cone against an object to be treated, and located so that fluid impinging on the object reflects upwardly therefrom in the direction of the opening and has a lifting effect on filamentary material, such as hair, located on the object.

An apparatus and process for impinging a fluid upon an object to be treated including creating a focused flow in a predetermined direction and placing an object between the focal point of the focused flow and the source of flow for treatment by the fluid therein.

A cleaning device for paint brushes and rollers which employs a scrubbing action for lifting and separating bristles or mat for optimal cleaning and which allows the progress of the cleaning process to be continuously and conveniently monitored. The device comprises an annular spray ring having an exterior radially directed flange and a plurality of spray ports on the inside surface of the ring. The ports are aimed so that the individual water streams converge at a point exterior to the plane of the ring.

Cleaning device for paint brushes and rollers

A cricket dispensing nozzle having a generally annular open end for communicating with the source of crickets. Four (4) resilient prongs emerge from the annular member and converge towards a dispensing opening in a continuous manner. Spaces between the four prongs permit insertion of a hook, both through that space and through the space below so that the hook may be passed through the cricket twice and the cricket removed from the nozzle without otherwise damaging the cricket.

A hydroponic bedding tray and nutrient feeding apparatus is disclosed which is particularly advantageous for outdoor use wherein trough means in fluid communication with a nutrient mixing reservoir are formed below a bottom floor of the bedding tray so that a plant contained in an inert media within the bedding tray is fed through capillary action and the bedding tray floor is sloped so as to avoid drainage into the trough means and dilution of the nutrient solution in the reservoir.

Hydroponic bedding tray apparatus

A system and apparatus for growing plants in a nutrient solution while supported in an inert medium contained in a pot container includes a nutrient solution reservoir and automatic feeder apparatus for maintaining a predetermined level of nutrient solution in the container including a tube member connected to the reservoir having an open end carried a predetermined distance above the container bottom for dispensing the solution. An air vent communicates with the tube member allowing air to enter the reservoir in response to the level of nutrient solution in the container falling below the open end of the tube member as the solution is drawn by capillary action through the media into the roots. The nutrient solution flows into the container until the open end of the feeder tube is covered so as to continuously maintain the level of nutrient solution. An overflow opening drains excess liquid from the pot preventing overwatering and stagnation when used outdoors.
