Automated bag forming systems and methods for their use are disclosed. The automated bag forming systems described herein can be configured to receive a web of bag material and produce individual bags through a sealing and cutting process possessing a high degree of speed, precision, and reproducibility.

Automated bag former

A counter-pressure filler system includes a vertically-translatable platform capable of supporting a container, a pressurizable chamber having an entrance aperture, the chamber enclosing a seaming chuck and at least one seaming roller, a vertically-translatable enclosure comprising an upper portion configured to engage a portion of said chamber around the entrance aperture, thereby creating a pressurizable atmosphere within said vertically-translatable enclosure and the pressurizable chamber. The seaming chuck is configured to allow a beverage ingredient to pass therethrough and into said container.

Counter-pressure filler

A method for forming a food package product is disclosed. The food package product includes layers and patches of adhesive strategically placed on packaging stock that prevents leakage of liquid products. In an exemplary embodiment, the food package product is microwavable popcorn.

Leak-resistant food package products and methods therefor

A food packaging system includes, in a serially coupled, operational configuration: a) an automated bag forming system; b) a bag rotator; c) a blade wheel; d) a bag top opener assembly; e) a funnel positioning system; f) a hopper system; g) an oil injection system; h) a sealing station; i) a crimping assembly; and j) an offloading assembly. A carriage conveyor system is configured to receive a bag formed by the automated bag forming system and convey the bag sequentially from component b) to component j).

Systems and methods for automated food packaging

A docking system for a watercraft having a cross member carrying a tow hook cart to engage a bow eye on the watercraft and thereafter permit docking of the watercraft. The cross member is supported by at least one upright structure and may include a latch mechanism to release the cross member to swing away after the hook engages the eye. Alternatively, a cross member may be supported on both ends and may be pulled out of the way by the tow rope or rotated over the eye by a latch tripped after the hook engages the eye.

Docking system

An apparatus for applying labels from a label web to moving articles such as a form web includes a moving belt, through which is applied a vacuum force, which successively receives a non-adhesive side of each label as they are removed from the backing web. A control system accelerates the belt in order to place the label onto a moving article located beneath the belt. The control system the decelerates the belt in order to receive another label and repeat the process of applying the label.

Labeling apparatus and method

Apparatus and process for application of pamphlets to a backing web having preprinted labels including a pamphlet applicator featuring cylindrical drive cams which propel pamphlet grasping assemblies at different speed rates to achieve optimum spacing during pamphlet application to a laminate web.

Labeling system

A vacuum apparatus and method are provided for controlling operation of a vacuum force to be applied through a vacuum cup for use in lifting objects such as cardboard boxes, so as to unload a pallet holding one or more of the boxes. The apparatus includes a valve body defining an inner chamber, a lift vacuum passage extending through the valve body to the chamber, a pilot vacuum passage extending through the valve body to the chamber, and a vacuum cup passage extending through the valve body to the chamber. A vacuum cup is connected to the valve body in airflow communication with the vacuum cup passage. A piston is disposed in the chamber and positioned for reciprocal movement between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the piston provides an airflow passageway between the pilot vacuum passage and the vacuum cup passage such that, if the vacuum cup is obstructed, the piston is pulled down by the pilot vacuum force to a second position. In the second position, the piston provides an airflow passageway between the lift vacuum passage and the vacuum cup passage in order to apply a lift vacuum force to an object obstructing the corresponding vacuum cup.
