A magnetic pouch clamp assembly includes a first and second clamping arms and a magnet assembly. The first clamping arms have respective, opposed first and second clamping surfaces. The second clamp arm is slidably connected to the first clamping arm such that the first and second clamping arms are movable between open and closed positions, with the first and second clamping surfaces being engaged in the closed position. The magnet assembly includes a first magnet having a first polarity carried by the first clamping arm and a second magnet having a second polarity carried by the second clamping arm, the first and second polarities being oriented such that a closing attractive force therebetween holds the first and second clamping surfaces in the closed position. A third magnet can be used to hold the clamping surfaces in the open position or to enhance closing forces.

Magnetic pouch clamp assembly and related methods

A cartoner infeed bucket includes a bottom wall, a first end wall extending upward from the bottom wall and a second end wall extending upward from the bottom wall and spaced apart from the first end wall to define an item carrying space, the second end wall running substantially parallel to the first end wall. The second end wall is mounted for adjustable movement along the bottom wall so as to vary a spacing between the first end wall and the second end wall and/or the first end wall is mounted for pivotable movement relative to the bottom wall.

A conveyor system comprises a track extending along a conveying path, and one or more carriages having a mounting section slidably engaging the track, with a vacuum connection being formed in the mounting section. A driving mechanism moves the carriages along the conveying path. A plurality of vacuum valves connected to the track along the conveying path, and a vacuum source is connected to the plurality of vacuum valves to supply vacuum thereto. The conveyor system is configured to selectively supply vacuum to the vacuum connection of the least one carriage via the plurality of vacuum valves based on a proximity of the at least one carriage thereto.

A sealing bar assembly for a packaging machine includes a mounting frame, first and second sealing bar carriages carried by the mounting frame, at least one of the first and second sealing bars being movable with respect to the mounting frame, first and second sealing bars mounted, respectively, to the first and second sealing bar carriages and movable therewith, the first and second bars including, respectively, first and second opposed sealing surfaces, at least a first electromagnet assembly arranged adjacent to the first sealing bar, and a controller configured to selectively energize the first electromagnet assembly to move the first and second opposed sealing surfaces into and out of engagement across a web of packaging material passing therebetween.

A bag forming apparatus includes a pair of opposed sealing bars arranged on opposite sides of a forming plane, a pair of guide arms, each extending from a first arm end through the forming plane to a second arm end and carrying a respective one of the pair of opposed sealing bars, a mounting frame to which the pair of guide arms are movably mounted between the first and second arm ends, and a drive shaft connected to the second arm end of each of the pair of guide arms such that shaft rotation is operable to move the pair of opposed sealing bars into and out of engagement across a web of bag forming material traveling therebetween in the forming plane. The drive shaft can be translatable relative to the mounting frame to adjust a closure gap between the pair of opposed sealing bars.

Bag forming apparatus

A combination headgear and eyewear system including eyewear that magnetically attaches to the headgear. A magnetic ball and disc joint allows the eyewear to pivot on the headgear and into a position wherein the eyewear rests upon a user's face. Adjustable temples allow the eyewear to be configured so to accommodate a large range of head sizes.

Combination ear and eye protection system and related method

A combination headgear assembly and protective eyewear system includes protective eyewear that attaches to a headgear assembly via magnetic connectors. The headgear assembly includes an adjustable headrest with first and second ends. The first end connects to a first spherical capsule having a first side wall, and the second end connects to a second spherical capsule having a second side wall. The protective eyewear includes a vision blade with a first end attaching via a first finger to a first telescoping member while a second end attaches via a second finger to a second telescoping member. A first magnetic connector is positioned between the first telescoping member and the first side wall of the first spherical capsule, and a second magnetic connector is positioned between the first telescoping member and the second side wall of the second spherical capsule.

Combination headgear and eye protection system

A retractable perimeter barrier for a swimming pool including a plurality of panels each vertically movably positioned in edge-to-edge orientation within a trough. The trough is generally U-sectioned open along its margin and buried in upright position within the ground or deck area adjacent a swimming pool. Each panel includes a lower buoyant section of sufficient buoyancy to uprightly support the portion of the panel which extends above the buoyant section above the ground or deck within the trough when the trough is filled with water. Each panel will automatically retract or lower into the trough when water is drained therefrom. Water is preferably drawn from and returned to the swimming pool to fill and drain the trough.
