A quick disconnect coupling for connecting a tube to another structure, such as a structure defining a port. The quick disconnect coupling may include a tube including a retention shoulder, a swivel rotatably disposed on the tube, and an adapter defining a bore for receiving a portion of the tube. The swivel may be engageable with the adapter to trap the retention shoulder between the swivel and the adapter. The adapter may be engageable with a receiving structure defining a port and the port may be in fluid communication with a lumen of the tube when the swivel is engaged with the adapter.

Quick disconnect coupling

A hose coupling for attachment to an end portion of a hose. The hose coupling may include a fitting, a termination attachment, and an end termination. The fitting may be attachable to the end portion of the hose. The fitting may include a ferrule and a stem. The ferrule may be attached to the stem. The termination attachment may be attached to the fitting in opposing relationship to the end portion of the hose. The end termination may be associated with the termination attachment. In some examples, the end termination is threaded, welded, integrally formed, integrally machined, or otherwise associated with the termination attachment.

Diagnostic and response systems and methods for a fluid power system acquire data from pressure and temperature sensors disposed in the fluid power system, analyze the data in a failure algorithm to build a history of cumulative damage to hoses in the fluid power system, communicates an indication of potential imminent hose failure to a central location when a level of the cumulative damage indicates imminent failure of a hose, analyze the information at the central location to determine an appropriate response, and transmit information about the fluid power system, including location, and identification of the hose about to fail to a response unit. The response unit responds to the location and replaces the component prior to failure, or the communication might include information that the hose has failed, such that the response unit replaces the failed hose to return the fluid power system to normal operation.

Diagnostic and response systems and methods for fluid power systems

This disclosure relates generally to couplings used in mining and other applications. An extraction device for removing an adapter from a port formed in a structure is provided. The extraction device may include an end wall and a side wall. The end wall may define an external face of the extraction device. The side wall may extend axially away from a periphery of the end wall. The side wall may terminate at an end face of the extraction device. The end face may have a larger dimension than the port so as to abut the structure adjacent to a periphery of the port. The side wall may include an inner surface and an outer surface. The inner surface may have a threaded portion.

Extraction device for removing an adapter secured in a port

An integral hose anti-collapse rib comprises a unitary body having a first cantilevered portion curved in a first direction. This first cantilevered portion defines a first end. A second cantilevered portion is curved in a direction opposite the direction of the first cantilevered portion, in a direction facing the first cantilevered portion. The second cantilevered portion also defines a second end disposed at an opposite extent of the rib from the first end. The hose anti-collapse rib also comprises a locking mechanism that locks the first end of the rib to the second end of the rib, such that the first and second cantilevered portions together form a generally circular shape. Embodiments of locking mechanisms may include a button and orifice locking mechanism and/or a tab and channel locking mechanism. In a relaxed state in which the locking mechanism is not engaged, the rib preferably defines a non-circular, generally spiral shape.

Hose anti-collapse ribs, systems and methods

This disclosure relates generally to hose couplings useful for mining applications, more particularly to a fluid coupling capable of generally fully tightened by hand, including a visual lock for visual indication and safety when in a hand-tightened position. The coupling generally includes a male portion, a female portion, a retaining member and a locking member. The male portion passes through the retaining member, and the retaining member threadingly engages the female member. The locking member prevents unthreading of the retaining member from the female member.

A quick connect coupling includes a male coupling and a female coupling. A stop may be associated with the male coupling and configured to prevent the male coupling from being inserted into a port of the female coupling beyond a predetermined depth. The stop may be axially slidable between a first position and a second position. The first position may be located between a leading edge of the male coupling and the second position. The stop may be biased towards the first position so that the stop substantially resets to the first position.

A heated fluid conduit has a body with a semi-conductive material disposed therein with an electrical power supply coupled to the conduit to provide a voltage across the conduit and a current therethrough, heating the fluid conduit. A fluid conduit heating system comprises a semiconductive sleeve disposed over a fluid conduit and an electrical power supply coupled to the ends of the sleeve to provide a voltage across the sleeve and a resulting current through the semiconductive sleeve, heating the sleeve and conduit Alternatively, one terminal of the electrical power supply is coupled to each end of the sleeve or conduit, and another terminal of the electrical power supply is coupled to the sleeve or conduit therebetween, to provide parallel heating circuits.

Heated fluid conduits, systems and methods

An hose standoff comprises a sleeve molded onto a hose and a standoff flange extending circumferentially from the sleeve. The flange contacts a surface to which the hose is adjacent, spacing the hose away from the surface and any proximate edges. The sleeve may extend from the flange, along the hose, in at least one direction to protect the hose from abrasion or cutting by an edge extending perpendicular from the surface toward the hose. A metal collar may be crimped onto the hose with the sleeve overmolding the collar. Also, a fabric covering may be disposed over the hose with the collar crimped over the fabric covering and the sleeve overmolding the collar and at least a portion of the fabric covering. Preferably the sleeve overmold contacts and bonds or otherwise mechanically locks with the fabric covering and/or the underlying hose.

Overmolded standoff and method for abrasion routing protection of a hose

A bracket stores and separates conduits. The bracket includes two interchangeable halves having an engagement extrusion extending from an inner face. Each half has a corresponding receptive slot disposed in the inner face. The bracket half includes at least one conduit receptive channel defined in the inner face. The halves align and engage when each half's extrusion is inserted into the other half's slot. The channels align to secure a conduit therein. The engagement portions define a dovetail and socket engagement. At least two stages of securement may be provided. Securement may comprise snap fit, sliding or other methods. A first, temporary stage of engagement initially joins the halves, adjustably and releasably retaining the halves and the conduits together. The second and subsequent stages of engagement are tighter engagements between the tail and socket, achieved by applying more pressing force to the halves or inserting a fastener.
