There is described, for example, a generally cylindrical generator of energetic electrons that releases electrons from a vacuum enclosure into a surrounding space including into the atmosphere where the electrons may be used for a variety of applications including clean up of a flowing gas stream. Described is an efficient electron generator that emits more beam power than past structures in this class of devices and does so in connection with the treatment of gases or surfaces requiring treatment.

An amplifier system is disclosed. The amplifier system includes a first amplifier, a second amplifier, and a phase noise suppression circuit. The first amplifier includes an input signal terminal and an output signal terminal. The second amplifier includes an input signal terminal and an output signal terminal. The input signal terminal of the second amplifier is coupled to the output signal terminal of the first amplifier. The phase noise suppression circuit includes first and second input terminals and an output terminal. The first input terminal of the phase noise suppression circuit is coupled to the input signal terminal of the first amplifier. The second input terminal of the phase noise suppression circuit is coupled to the output signal terminal of the second amplifier. The output terminal of the phase noise suppression circuit is coupled to the first amplifier.

System and method for noise and spurious supression in power amplifier systems

An amplifier system. The amplifier system includes a vacuum tube amplifier, an electron source voltage modulation circuit, and a linearization circuit. The vacuum tube amplifier includes an input signal terminal and an output signal terminal. The electron source voltage modulation circuit includes an input terminal coupled to one of the input signal terminal and the output signal of the vacuum tube amplifier, and includes an output terminal coupled to one of an electron source of the vacuum tube amplifier and an interaction region of the vacuum tube amplifier. The linearization circuit is coupled to the input signal terminal of the vacuum tube amplifier. In conjunction with or instead of the electron source voltage modulation circuit, the amplifier circuit may additionally include an electron beam control circuit, including an input terminal coupled to one of the input signal terminal and the output signal of the vacuum tube amplifier, and including an output terminal coupled to the electron source of the vacuum tube amplifier.

System and method for linearizing vacuum electronic amplification

An amplifier system, including a vacuum tube amplifier having an input signal terminal and an output signal terminal, and a phase noise suppression circuit having first and second input terminals and an output terminal, wherein the first input terminal is coupled to the input signal terminal of the vacuum tube amplifier, the second input terminal is coupled to the output signal terminal of the vacuum tube amplifier, and the output terminal is coupled to one of an electron source of the vacuum tube amplifier and an interaction region of the vacuum tube amplifier. Hot, saturated water vapor in the form of low-temperature subatmospheric steam is employed to shorten the aeration period after sterilization with a condensable, heat-labile chemical sterilant. The application of steam accelerates the rate of outgassing of sterilant residuals that are absorbed into, or adsorbed or condensed onto chamber or load materials. The method is particularly suitable for removing residuals from polymeric materials and/or materials that are poor heat conductors. Apparatus is provided to supply steam in situations where a utility steam supply is not available.

Method to shorten aeration after a sterilization cycle

A method and system of treating medical waste product materials that are contaminated with blood, urine and/or other bodily fluids is disclosed. Disinfecting and sterilizing such materials is accomplished through use of heat to deactivate catalase contained in the medical waste. The waste is then contacted with hydrogen peroxide to sterilize the waste.
