A system that modifies an environmental condition of a building zone is provided. The system includes an airside processing circuit and a waterside processing circuit. The airside processing circuit drives a damper actuator to a first setpoint based on an air flow rate setpoint and a first pressure measurement, receives an air flow error signal based on the air flow rate setpoint and a second pressure measurement, determines a setpoint based on the air flow error signal, and drives the damper actuator to the second setpoint. The waterside processing circuit drives a valve actuator to a first setpoint based on a fluid flow rate setpoint and a first flow rate measurement, receives a fluid flow error signal based on the fluid flow rate setpoint and a second flow rate measurement, determines a second setpoint based on the fluid flow error signal, and drives the valve actuator to the second setpoint.

The flow control device further includes a fault detection and correction agent configured to receive data from the one or more sensors, analyze the data according to a set of rules, and detect whether one or more faults have occurred. In response to detecting a fault, the fault detection and correction agent is configured to either operate the actuator to open or close the valve or initiate a corrective action to be taken by another device in the HVAC system.

The system further includes one or more input-output (I/O) devices, the I/O devices in communication with the adaptive interaction manager. The controller further including a number of BMS field devices. The I/O devices are configured to receive an input from a user, and further configured to communicate the input to the adaptive interaction manager. The agent manager is configured to determine if one or more existing software agents are capable of performing the desired action, and to automatically transmit the existing software agents to one or more of the BMS field devices based on the agent manager determining the existing software agents are capable of performing the desired action. The software agents are configured to automatically be installed in a processing circuit of the BMS field device to perform the required action.

Systems and methods for agent interaction with building management system

A home control system includes a thermostat configured to measure environmental conditions in a first room of a building and control heating, ventilation, and air condition (HVAC) equipment within the building. The thermostat includes a central control hub configured to communicate with a plurality of remote sensor units via a data communications interface. The thermostat further includes a processing circuit configured to monitor and control non-HVAC equipment within the building. The system further includes a first remote sensor unit of the plurality of remote sensor units. The first remote sensor unit is configured to measure environmental conditions in a second room of the building and wirelessly communicate information associated with the measured environmental conditions to the central control hub. The thermostat is further configured to control both the HVAC equipment and the non-HVAC equipment within the building based on the information received from the remote sensor unit.

The present invention relates to a diagnostic system for use in a network control system. The diagnostic system is preferably utilized to analyze VAV box performance in an environmental control system such as a network facilities management system. The diagnostic system advantageously allows the serviceperson to perform diagnostic tests on VAV boxes from a remote location. Flat box warnings, starved box warnings, box excessive damper hysteresis warnings, oversized box warnings, damper stroke out of bounds warnings, as well as other box and damper warnings may be provided by the diagnostic system. Preferably, the diagnostic system formats the air flow data so that it can be displayed for graphing. The diagnostic system causes individual controls to adjust the damper positions. Air flow parameters for each position are communicated to the remote location.
