A process allows the extraction of heavy hydrocarbon compounds from solid substrates in an economical and efficient fashion. Materials containing heavy hydrocarbons (i.e. oil sands or roofing shingles) are broken up into an auger and then mixed with light hydrocarbons. Subsequently, the resulting slurry is shaken to separate fluids from solids, and the fluids are subjected to one or more filtering processes to remove waste sediment. These filtering processes may include a series of one or more of centrifuges and nozzle purifier machines. Filtered fluids are distilled to separate heavy hydrocarbons from light hydrocarbons. Simultaneously, the solids are heated to remove the remaining light hydrocarbons as vapors. Light hydrocarbons are cooled in a condenser and coalesced in a holding tank, wherefrom they may be recirculated into the process and used repeatedly. The now-isolated heavy hydrocarbons resulting from the distillation process may be removed as a purified product.

The a payment processing system may withhold the portion of the transactions processed for the merchant by the payment processing system for repayment of the approved funding amount plus earnings to the investors, apportion the portion of the transactions processed for the merchant by the payment processing system amongst the investors, and transmit, by the payment processor system, the apportioned amount to each investor.

The connector is composed of at least one link, wherein each link has an adjustable spatial feature such as the length, thickness, or angle of the link. The device for temporary repair of auger carrier bearings is an assembly used to serve as a temporary to semi-permanent replacement for the carrier bearings of auger rotary shafts. The assembly comprises a U-bolt having threaded legs and a flat strap having two openings that are aligned with the threaded legs of the U-bolt. The points of contact between the auger rotary shaft and the assembly are the middle of the strap and the arch of the U-bolt. To these points are attached pads of self-lubricating plastic to provide a low friction interface between the assembly and the auger rotary shaft. A method and apparatus for making continuous rolls of a thin laminate composite that is ideally suited for the large scale production of reclosable bags which can be used for sealably packaging a wide variety of articles, including food products. The bags of the invention, after being opened, can quickly and easily be closed by rolling the open end downwardly upon itself in a manner to sealably deform one or more inelastic, malleable metal filaments which are interconnected with at least one of the laminate side walls of the bag.
