A latch, including: a claw movably mounted to the latch for movement between an unlatched position and a latched position; a pawl movably mounted to the latch for movement between an engaged position and a disengaged position, wherein the pawl prevents the claw from moving from the latched position to the unlatched position when the pawl is in the engaged position; a hold open lever configured for movement between a first position wherein the hold open lever does not block movement of the pawl and a second position, wherein the hold open lever prevents the pawl from moving from the disengaged position to the engaged position; a gear rotatably mounted to the latch for movement between a first position and a second position, the gear having a cam portion that is configured to engage the pawl and move the pawl to the disengaged position as the gear rotates from the first position to the second position; and a spring for biasing the hold open lever into the second position as the gear is rotated into the second position, the spring being operably coupled to the pawl at one end and the hold open lever at a second end.

A latch includes a housing, a fork bolt, and a detent lever. The fork bolt is coupled to the housing and is movable between an unlatched position, a primary latched position, and a secondary latched position. The detent lever is operably coupled to the housing and is arranged to cooperate with the fork bolt. A drive link is operatively connected to the fork bolt and to the detent lever. The drive link is movable in a first direction to engage the detent lever to open the latch and is movable in a second direction to engage the fork bolt to cinch the latch.

Liftgate latch

A remote cinching actuator, which includes an integral motor wherein its rotation will drive the two stage drive gears system, that are coupled to a cable lever. This cable lever is mechanically attached to a cinch lever within the side door latch by the cable. The lever will rotate on its pivot and move the cinch drive link. A bearing attached to the cinch drive link will move during the cinching operation, traveling through a canal of a cinch override lever, to maintain the traveling course of the cinch drive link and, thereby, allowing the interaction between the cinch drive link and a claw to rotate the claw to its closed/primary position. A vehicle side door latch, including an integral motor and a power release gear for performing a power release function of the latch wherein the rotation of the motor in a power release direction will drive the power release gear which in turn will hit a power release lever to move the pawl release lever, so that the former can interact with a pawl lifter, coupled to the latch pawl, thereby allowing the claw to rotate to its open position. The side door latch also consists of a cinch override lever which allows the cancellation of the cinching function at any time of the cinching travel by interacting with a cinch override clutch lever, and in turn with a cinch override clutch link which is attached to both, the pawl release lever and the cinch override clutch lever. These interactions within the latch will allow the disengagement of the cinch drive link from the latch claw.

Side door latch

A latch includes a housing, a fork bolt operably coupled to the housing and pivotal between an unlatched position, a primary latched position, and a secondary latched position, and a detent lever operably coupled to the housing and arranged to cooperate with the fork bolt. A drive link is operatively connected to the fork bolt and to the detent lever. An override lever is operably coupled to the drive link. A manual release lever is operably coupled to the override lever. The manual release lever is movable between a rest position and a release position. The drive link is automatically moved out of a path of rotation of the fork bolt when the manual release lever is moved to the release position.

A vehicle latch system, including: a latch assembly; an electronic control unit removably attached to an exterior of a housing of the latch assembly, the electronic control unit having a printed circuit board assembly secured into a housing of the electronic control unit, wherein the printed circuit board assembly when inserted into the housing of the electronic control unit is press fit into electrical communication with a first pair of terminals molded into the housing of the electronic control unit, wherein the first pair of terminals are configured to have an interference fit with a second pair of terminals molded into a housing of the latch assembly when the electronic control unit is secured to the latch assembly.

A two-pull, automatic reset, latch system is configured to operate during a no-power scenario and a power scenario. The latch system includes a release system, a release lever, and a coupling lever. The release lever is pivotally engaged to a stationary structure about a first axis. The coupling lever pivots about a second axis offset from the first axis, and is adapted to couple the release lever to the release system during a no-power scenario and upon two actuations of the release lever. The coupling lever is further adapted to maintain decoupling of the release lever from the release system during a power scenario.

The double pull latch assembly includes a pull rod, a selector lever, and a linkage, wherein the selector lever is selectively disposed in a first feature or second feature of the linkage. In another embodiment, the double pull latch assembly includes a release arm, a lever, and a hold open lever to hold the lever in the intermediate position.

A cable return assist assembly for a vehicle latch mechanism, including: a housing; a cable; a guide feature secured to the cable; and a spring positioned about the cable, the spring contacting the housing at one end of the spring and the guide feature at an opposite end of the spring when the cable, the spring and the guide feature are installed into the housing, the housing having an opening that allows the spring and the guide feature to be inserted into a cavity of the housing and a portion of the cable is received in a first opening located at one end of the housing and another portion of the cable is received in a second opening located at an opposite end of the housing.

A vehicle door presenter actuator, including: an extension bar that is driven outward from the door presenter actuator by a nut that threadingly engages a power screw operatively secured to a motor of the vehicle door presenter actuator; and a barrel cam that is pivoted into contact with a switch as a pin of the nut slides within a cam path of the barrel cam as the nut drives the extension bar outward from the vehicle door presenter actuator.

A double pull mechanism of a vehicle latch including: a release link; a cable lever pivotally mounted to a portion of the vehicle latch; a manual release pawl pivotally mounted to the cable lever; a lock spring mounted to the release link; a cable secured to the cable lever, wherein pivotal movement of the cable lever via actuation of the cable a first time causes movement of the lock spring such that a protrusion of the manual release pawl is received in an opening of the release link and wherein actuation of the cable a second time causes movement of the release link via engagement of the protrusion in the opening.

A latch mechanism for a motor vehicle includes a latch body, a claw rotatably mounted in the latch body and operable to selectively retain a hood latch element, and a motor operatively connected to the claw. The motor is operably to rotate the claw to selectively release the hood latch element. A latch controller is operatively connected to the motor, and a speed sensor operatively connected to the latch controller. The speed sensor detects a speed of the motor vehicle. The latch controller operates the motor to rotate the claw based on the speed of the motor vehicle.

A glove box assembly includes a glove box housing and a glove box door movable between a first, closed position and a second, open position relative to the glove box housing to selectively provide access to an interior of the glove box housing. An actuation system is connected to the glove box door and a control mechanism is operably coupled to the actuation mechanism. The actuation mechanism is operable in response to the control mechanism to move the glove box door to one of the closed position or the open position.

The cable conduit end having: a housing; an alignment feature incorporated into a surface of the housing; a flexible retention feature integrally formed with the conduit end, wherein the flexible retention feature is spring biased away from the housing to a first position; and a radial retention feature extending outwardly away from the housing, wherein the flexible retention feature is located proximate to a first end of the housing and the radial retention feature is located proximate to a second end of the housing.
