A fire detection and suppression system includes a first linear heat detector configured having a first activation temperature, a second linear heat detector having a second activation temperature different than the first activation temperature, a connector assembly electrically coupling the first linear heat detector and the second linear heat detector, a source of fire suppressant at least selectively coupled to at least one nozzle, and a controller coupled to the first linear heat detector and the second linear heat detector and configured to initiate distribution of the fire suppressant through the at least one nozzle in response to receiving an activation signal. The activation signal indicates at least one of (a) the first linear heat detector has reached the first activation temperature or (b) the second linear heat detector has reached the second activation temperature. The connector assembly is configured to be positioned within the ventilation hood.

Fire detection and suppression system with high temperature connector

A fire suppression apparatus is configured to spray a fire suppressant agent and includes a reservoir and a nozzle. The nozzle is fluidly coupled to the reservoir and includes an inlet aperture, an outlet aperture, a passageway, and a diverter. The passageway extends between the inlet aperture and the outlet aperture. The diverter is disposed within the passageway and includes multiple diverter passageways configured to receive the fire suppressant agent from an inner volume of the diverter and direct the fire suppressant agent towards an inner sidewall of the passageway.

Fire suppression nozzle

A sprinkler includes an inlet aperture, an outlet aperture, a body, a conical member, and a deflector. The inlet aperture receives fire suppressant agent at an inlet end of the sprinkler and the outlet aperture is at an outlet end of the sprinkler. The body extends along a longitudinal axis and includes an inner volume forming a fluid flow path between the inlet end and the outlet end of the sprinkler. The conical member is positioned at the outlet end of the sprinkler directs the fire suppressant agent outwards. The deflector receives fire suppressant agent from the conical member and distributes the fire suppressant agent about a service area. The deflector includes multiple tines, which each extend along a corresponding radial axis that is substantially perpendicular with the longitudinal axis. Each tine is offset by an angular amount about the corresponding radial axis.

A fire suppression and annunciation system using a flexible conduit and a wire rope is provided. The wire rope may be connected to a knob assembly at a universal pull station and to a release mechanism of the fire suppression system. An operator may pull a handle of the knob assembly at the universal pull station, thereby activating the release mechanism to release fire suppression agent. A flexible conduit may house the wire rope along at least a part of the connection from the universal pull station to the release mechanism. A material on the liner of the flexible conduit and/or on the wire rope may be used to reduce the coefficient of friction of wire rope in the flexible conduit. The fire suppression system may further include a pulley block system connected to the universal pull station. The pulley block system may comprise bearings, and may lower the force necessary to activate the release mechanism.

Fire suppression system and emergency annunciation system

A nozzle assembly for encapsulating a gaseous solution in bubbles comprises a discharge tube having a diffuser and a foam solution spray nozzle mounted therein. The discharge tube has upstream and downstream ends. The discharge tube has a front face at the upstream end with a first opening configured to be joined to a gas supply line that provides a gaseous solution and a second opening configured to receive a non-expanded foam solution. The downstream end of the discharge tube is open. A chamber is formed within the discharge tube to receive the gaseous solution at the upstream end and release the gaseous solution through the diffuser into the discharge tube towards the downstream end.
