A switch harness assembly for the manually operated burner control valves on a range top gas burner manifold. A pair of continuous uninterrupted parallel electrical lines have individual cam operated igniter switches each adapted for rotary driving engagement with the shaft from one of the burner valves. Each switch has a pair of contact members with portions which pierce the insulation of one of the pair of leads for making electrical connection. The switch housing is assembled over the leads and cam drum. Grease provides a seal between the cam drum and housing to improve foodstuff spill resistance and an annular grease trap about the cam drum protects the contacts from the grease.

Switch harness assembly for gas burner manifold

An integral gas burner manifold and pressure regulator with an inlet fitting received through one wall of the manifold and threadedly engaging in the manifold a regulator body received through a second oppositely disposed wall of the manifold. The body has a valve seat and downstream ports for supplying the interior of the manifold. Portions of the body extending exteriorly of the manifold, retain and seal a housing shell having a pressure responsive diaphragm exposed to the pressure of the ports. A poppet is disposed on the valve seat and is connected to the diaphragm by a rod; and, the poppet is moved by the rod in response to changes in pressure acting on the diaphragm. The diaphragm is preloaded by an adjustable spring.

Gaseous fuel burner manifold with integral pressure regulator assembly

A cast aluminum burner base has a tubular inlet communicating with a cavity formed in an enlarged diameter flange remote from the inlet. The cavity is closed by a cast aluminum cap registered against the base. The base and cap are each castellated along the parting line such that the castellations are interdigitated. Grooves having semi-circular cross sections and formed radially across the castellations and the spaces between and close on the parting line to form circular cross section primary flame-generating ports. The castellations on the cap are truncated and tapered to provide flame stabilizing passages adjacent alternate flame-generating ports. The grooves forming the primary flame generating ports are configured to preferably form a converging-diverging nozzle; and, the flame stabilizing passages are formed as a diverging nozzle, both for reducing flow velocity to pressurize flame separation.

A modified theatrical counterweight apparatus (10) in a double or single purchase counterweight system (12) consists of an improved counterweight arbor carriage (50), for holding a plurality of improved counterweights (56). The improved counterweights (56) are stored on two elongate arbor bars (48), which when released will slide down into the improved counterweight arbor carriage (50). The improved counterweight arbor carriage (50) when obtaining the proper amount of the improved counterweights (56), will now slide down the elongate arbor bars (48) to raise a piece of scenery (34) with a batten (36) up from a stage (14), via lift lines (38) and an operating line (42).

Modified theatrical counterweight apparatus

A gaseous fuel burner with a base formed of cast aluminum and a wafer cooperating with the base for forming an annular of flame generating ports. A cap is received over the wafer and forms a dead air space for reducing the temperature rise of the cap. The wafer and base are formed of aluminum or brass and the cap is either formed of cast iron or cast aluminum with a porcelainized steel disc insert on the upper surface.

A rotary switch assembly for use with a fuel burner valve having a user rotatable shaft. The switch has an annular sleeve which upon being received over the valve shaft is engaged to be rotated by the valve shaft. The rotor has a conductive contact ring frictionally engaging the rotor with inward projections on the ring frictionally engaging torque transmitting grooves formed on the rotor. The rotor is journalled on the switch base which has stationary contacts provided on opposite sides of the rotor. User rotation of the valve shaft causes the rotor to rotate and the wiper contacts complete a circuit between the stationary contacts.

Switching assembly for gas burner valve

A gas burner valve switch having an annular rotor engaging the valve shaft for rotation with the shaft. An annular resilient seal in a groove on the rotor flange seals against the underside of the casing cover to prevent entry of foreign matter. The rotor is journalled for rotation in the housing which has spaced terminals which connect, via insulation displacement, with a pair of continuous spaced electrical leads laid in channels and extending through the housing. In one embodiment the rotor has a cam which actuates a moveable blade arm attached to one of the pair of terminals to effect closing against the other terminals. In another embodiment an annular wiper ring acts as a shorting bar between the terminal for switching upon user rotation of the rotor.

Sealed switch assembly for use with a rotatable valve shaft

A fuel gas burner has a supply tube formed with a supply orifice in one end surrounded by aspirator vanes. The burner has a venturi member with a reduced diameter throat region received in the burner inlet. The aspirator vanes frictionally engage the throat region of the venturi. In one embodiment of the venturi comprises a helically wound wire and in another embodiment an annular member with turbulating surfaces formed downstream of the throat.

Gaseous fuel burner assembly and method of connecting same

An electrically operated line valve has its outlet connected to the inlet of the manifold for supplying the user actuated individual gas burner valves and a user actuated line power switch is closed before opening of any of the burner valves. A valve position detector signals an electronic controller which supplies power to the line switch only if a burner valve has been opened after closing of the line switch. A user actuatable manual override cable enables the line valve to be manually opened during periods of electrical power outage.
