The media pack defines opposite inlet and outlet flow faces, with flutes extending in a direction therebetween. The cartridge defines a closed end, spaced from, but in overlap with, the outlet end face of the media pack.

The media pack defines opposite inlet and outlet flow faces, with flutes extending in a direction therebetween. The media pack is non-removably secured within a filter cartridge housing, at a location between opposite sections of a shell, typically secured thereto with an adhesive. The shell also defines a closed end, spaced from, but in overlap with, the outlet end face of the media pack. The closed end is typically curved and the shell typically provides either a d/b-shape or a u-shape.

The closed end is typically curved and the shell typically provides either a d/b-shape or a u-shape. The filter includes an end member, with a outlet flow aperture arrangement therein, allowing for outlet flow from the filter cartridge in a general direction orthogonal to air flow through the media pack. The air cleaner assembly includes a housing having features for receipt of, and engagement by, the filter cartridge. An optional secondary filter cartridge is provided, mountable on the housing in an orientation projecting into a clean air volume in the main filter cartridge.

A filter arrangement includes a filter media pack having a side wall. A ring is oriented around and against the side wall of the filter media pack. The ring includes a band having an interior surface oriented against the side wall of the filter media pack and an opposite exterior surface. A first seal member is secured to the exterior surface of the band. The first seal member is oriented radially from the filter media pack. The filter media pack includes Z-media having an inlet flow face and an opposite outlet flow face. An air cleaner including a housing with a filter element operably installed therein is provided. Methods of installing, filtering, and servicing are described.

Filter cartridge

An apparatus and method for down-stream plasma processing (both etching and plasma enhanced deposition) are disclosed wherein only a portion of the surface area of a substrate is exposed to the low pressure, reactive gaseous processing environment. The remainder of the substrate remains outside a small enclosed processing area, thus leaving these areas unexposed to the processing agents and providing physical access for monitoring equipment or the like, for example when in-situ monitoring during processing is desired. Etch rates of up to 6 .mu.m/h have been obtained.

Localized plasma processing

A ski tracking alarm comprises a self-contained unit for mounting on a ski between the toe and heel bindings so that it is located beneath the ski boot during skiing. The unit comprises an audible alarm device and a triggering device for actuating the alarm to produce an audible alarm signal on separation of the ski boot from the ski. The triggering device includes a spring-loaded actuator which is held in an inoperative position by pressure of the ski boot acting on the unit, but springs up into an operative position when the ski boot is separated from the ski.

A clamping device specially structured to provide conformingly shaped jaws and precisely positioned, leveraged fingers adapted to bend metal fence-attaching clips into locking position around adjacent portions of wire fences and round gate posts.
