The application relates to a device for collecting a sample of intestinal fluid comprising a polymeric inner material having an at least partially compressed open cell structure, having a volume Vand being suitable for swelling to a volume greater than or equal to 1.1×Vby absorbing intestinal fluid, said material being encased with an elastic polymeric casing impervious to digestive fluid, said casing comprising at least one opening allowing the intake of intestinal fluid into the inner material, a gastro-resistant material suitable for dissolving in intestinal fluid at 37° C. being disposed on top of each opening, and at least one mechanism for closing the opening(s).

The reactor can also delimit, at least partially with the semi-permeable or porous membrane of same, a closed inner space. The reactor can comprise or carry enzymes or micro-organisms, in particular bacteria or yeast. The reactor is used for generating a chemical reaction with one or more molecules present in the intestine, or for producing one or more biologically active molecules. It can, in particular, be used for consuming sugars, disaccharides and simple sugars or producing essential amino acids or other molecules having a positive effect on the health.

Implantable intestinal reactor

The invention concerns a bioreactor obtained by compressing a mixture of an enzyme, a conductor and chitosan. The conductor can consist of carbon nanotubes. This bioreactor can be produced according to the following steps: preparing a mixture of powders in which the proportion of enzyme powder relative to a carbon nanotube powder is of the order of 50/50 by weight; preparing a viscous solution of chitosan in a ratio of 5 to 15 (in mg) of chitosan to 0.75 to 1.25 (in ml) of acetic acid diluted to 0.4 to 0.6% by volume in water; adding the viscous chitosan to the mixture of powders in a proportion be weight of 3 to 5 of powder to 5 to 10 of chitosan; carrying out a first compression followed by light grinding; carrying out a second compression to produce a pellet; and drying at ambient temperature.
