A modular, portable writing and projection system having a variable curvature is disclosed. The system uses dry erase boards, chalk or black boards, or other flexible panels having at least one writing surface. The panels have edges for joining to posts. The system combines panels to form a large, modular system for use at meetings, gatherings or other assemblies. The system allows a large number of users to contribute to a presentation, and also allows users to view the presentation. Because the panels are flexible, the system may be curved, allowing more panels to be mounted, used, written on and viewed, within limited space. The panels may be used in either a convex or concave manner, i.e., curved in or curved out, as desired. The resistance of the panels to remaining in a curved state is overcome by feet on the posts and braking or holding devices on the feet.

Modular portable writing and projection system having variable curvature

A modular collaborative panel system intended for use on walls, frames and stands is disclosed. The system uses dry erase boards, chalk or black boards, or other panels having at least one writing surface. The panels have notches or cut-outs on each side so the panels can be mounted to a wall or a frame using pegs. The system combines panels in rows or columns, or both, to form a large, modular system for use at meetings, gatherings or other assemblies. The system allows a large number of users to contribute to a presentation, and also allows users to view the presentation.

Collaborative panel system

An apparatus for practicing golf swings is provided having a pair of spaced parallel side members, a first cross member attached to an end of each one of the pair of side members, a second cross member attached to the opposite end of each one of the pair of side members in such a manner that the second cross member is free to be rotated relative to said opposite end of the pair of side members, a sheet of simulated grass material on a rectangular sheet of substantially inelastic material which is attached to the first and second cross members for supporting a golf ball and a mechanism for locking the second cross member in position relative to the ends of said side members after a predetermined amount of tension has been applied to the rectangular sheet of material by rotating the second cross member in a direction which results in applying tension to the rectangular sheet of material.

Golf practice apparatus and fabricating process

An apparatus for practicing a golf swing is described comprising a sheet of simulated grass material having its own backing attached to a separate underlying sheet of substantially inelastic material, such as nylon, which is suspended above an open space for supporting a golf ball. The supporting apparatus comprises a pair of spaced rail members and a pair of spaced risers over which the sheet or combination of sheets is suspended. In use, the ball supporting sheet or combination of sheets is depressed when struck by the head of a golf club when the club is swung 'through' a ball in a manner which normally would result in making a divot in the natural turf of a golf course. The apparatus may also be used with a conventional wooden or plastic tee.

Golf practice device

An assembly of collated nails comprising a nail carrier. In the nail carrier there is provided a strip of material such as paper or plastic on which is provided a bead of flexible, non-hardening adhesive material. Nails are partially embedded at predetermined spacings in the adhesive material. In practice, the strips of nails are wound into circular packages for subsequent use in automatic nailing apparatus.

Assembly of collated nails for automatic nailers

An impact nailing and dimpling apparatus is described. In the apparatus there is provided a dimple forming member and a number of valve members for causing the dimple forming member to be repetitively hammered for providing a dimple in a wallboard or other surface and for setting a nail in the dimple. An adjustable nut is provided for shutting off the apparatus when the dimple and nail have been set to a predetermined depth. A nail feed mechanism automatically feeds nails from a cartridge to a position located beneath the dimple forming member. The baseplate is provided with recesses coupled to a source of vacuum for providing a negative pressure between the base and the wallboard or other surface against which the apparatus is held during nailing operations.

Impact nailing and dimpling apparatus

An impact nailing and dimpling apparatus is described. In the apparatus there is provided a dimpler and valve assembly for automatically controlling the depth to which nails and dimples are set in a wallboard. A base member is also provided for orientating the apparatus for repeatedly and reliably driving nails into wallboard perpendicular to the wallboard.

This invention is an adjustable frame member or jamb for a wall opening and a method for making it. It consists of two side-by-side jamb members, a spring and a stop. The stop is attached to one jamb member in an overhanging or step-like relationship. The spring is inserted into the back of this member so that an elongated portion defines a slot with the overhanging portion of the stop. Narrow kerfs are appropriately let into the back of the jamb and the door stop for anchoring the arm portions of the spring. The second jamb member is slid into the slot defined by the stop and spring, where it is firmly gripped by the spring. By forming one mounting point for the spring in the back of the stop, a short lever arm is maintained to better resist any prying or dislodging forces applied against the spring caused by the other jamb member. The artical can conveniently be made by first attaching one edge of the stop to a jamb of the narrowest width expected in use. The jamb is severed into two pieces and the kerfs are simultaneously cut. An inlet zone into the jamb members in the area of the spring enables the assembly to have a flat back for rigid mounting against a framing stud.
