The present invention relates to a chemical sprayer that includes a sprayer head assembly and a container. The container defines a cavity for storing a chemical to be sprayed. The sprayer head assembly includes a chemical passage, a carrier fluid passage, a vent passage, a valve chamber and a valve. The chemical passage is communication with the cavity. The carrier fluid passage is in communication with a carrier fluid source. Both the carrier fluid and chemical passages are in communication with the valve chamber. The valve is moveably positioned within the valve chamber and defines at least partially a first passage and a second passage. The first passage is configured so as to be in communication with the chemical passage when the valve is in an open position. The second passage is configured so as to be in communication with the carrier fluid passage when the valve is in the open position. The first and second passages are also configured so as to not be in communication with the chemical and carrier fluid passages when said valve is in a closed position. The valve also includes one or more seal portions positioned on the valve so as to block both the chemical and the carrier fluid passages when said valve is in the closed position. The sealing portions also preferably blocks a vent passage when the valve in the closed position. The second passage also preferably forms at least in part an outlet of the sprayer head assembly. A suction generating surface is also preferably defined by the valve.

Single valve ready to use hose end sprayer

A sprayer head assembly for dispensing a chemical stored within a container comprises a body having a bore and a valve moveably positioned at least partially within the bore. The sprayer head assembly includes passages for the carrier fluid and the chemical. A vent passage is also provided. The valve selectively closes and opens the carrier fluid, chemical and vent passages. The valve is configured to move in a side to side motion which is generally transverse to a longitudinal axis of the assembly.

Single valve ready to use sprayer

A noncontainer pressurizing pump sprayer includes a body, which defines a chamber. A piston is positioned within the container and is coupled to a shaft. The piston divides the chamber into an upper section and a lower section. An inlet valve is positioned on the body and permits flow of fluid into the lower section but restricts flow out of the lower section. The shaft of the piston is coupled to a handle. A spray nozzle includes an actuator that is coupled to a control valve and a discharge outlet that is in fluid communication with the lower section of the chamber. In one embodiment, a tube extends continuously from a point upstream of the control valve to a point downstream of the control valve. In another embodiment, a tube is coupled to the piston and extends through the handle. In another embodiment, the tube extends continuously from the spray nozzle and is coupled to the piston.

Pump assembly with continuous tube

A sprayer head assembly comprises a sprayer head and a valve for controlling the flow of fluid through the assembly. The sprayer head comprises a chemical passage, a carrier fluid passage and a vent passage. A generally cylindrical bore is in communication with the chemical, vent carrier fluid passages. The valve is moveably positioned within the bore. The valve is moveable between a first position and a second position. The valve comprises a first passage and a chemical inlet passage that is in communication with the first passage. In the first position, the valve blocks the vent, chemical and carrier fluid passages. In the second position, the first passage is configured to be in communication with the carrier fluid passage while the chemical fluid passage is in communication with the chemical inlet passage. The valve defines a suction generating recess positioned within the first passage. The chemical inlet passage communicates with the first passage through an opening positioned within the suction generating recess. The first passage defines an outlet for discharging the carrier fluid and chemical in a first direction and the valve is rotatable about an axis that extends generally parallel to the first direction.

Longitudinal valve ready to use hose end sprayer

A pressurized sprayer comprises a pump attachment. The pump attachment includes a body that defines a chamber in which a piston is reciprocally mounted. The piston is coupled to a handle by a shaft. The piston separates the chamber into a first portion and as second portion. The second portion in communication with an inlet valve and outlet passage. A spray nozzle is in communication with the outlet passage and is rigidly attached to the pump attachment.

A sprayer head assembly for dispensing a chemical stored within a container comprise a body having a bore and a valve moveably positioned at least partially within the bore. The housing includes passages for carrier fluid and the chemical. A vent passage is also provided. The valve selectively closes and opens the carrier fluid, chemical and vent passages. The valve is configured to rotate about an axis that extends in a generally vertical direction.

An assembly including a pump attachment particularly adapted to form an nonaerosol pump sprayer, and a method of using the same. The apparatus desirably includes an attachment having a pump sprayer which is pressurized on the upstroke enabling the sprayer to be shipped and stored in a relaxed position. The attachment includes a body, a coupling, a shaft, a piston, an inlet valve and a biasing member. The body defines an elongate chamber having the first end, second end, and an interior wall extending between the first end and second end. The coupler is sized and shaped to secure the body to the neck of a container. The shaft extends through the opening in the first end of the chamber and defines an internal flow channel. The piston is reciprocally mounted within the chamber and includes an inner annular surface surrounding the shaft and an outer annular surface sized and shaped to form a sealing engagement with the interior wall of the body. The attachment defines a sealing surface substantially fixed with respect to the piston and a second sealing surface substantially fixed with respect to the shaft. The first sealing surface and the second sealing surface having the first position wherein the first sealing surface and the second sealing surface cooperate to prevent the flow of liquid between the piston and the shaft. The first sealing surface and the second sealing surface also has a second position wherein the first sealing surface and the second sealing surface permit the flow of liquid between the piston and the shaft. The piston is formed from a single piece said piston and defines an inner annular surface surrounding the shaft and an upper outer annular surface sized and shaped to form a sealing engagement with said interior wall of the body and a lower outer annular surface sized and shaped to form a sealing engagement with the interior wall of said body.

A sprayer head assembly comprises a chemical passage, a carrier fluid passage, and a housing that has an outer surface and an inner surface, which defines a valve chamber configured to be in communication with the chemical and carrier fluid passages. A valve is moveably positioned within the valve chamber between at least a first position, a second position and a third position. The valve defines a first passage, a second passage and a chemical inlet passage that is in communication with the second passage. The valve is configured such that, in the first position, the valve blocks the chemical and carrier fluid passages, in the second position, the first passage is configured to be in communication with the carrier fluid passage while the valve blocks the chemical fluid passage, and in the third position, the second passage is configured to be in communication with the carrier fluid passage and the chemical inlet passage is configured to be in communication with the chemical passage.

Disclosed herein are various embodiments related to a chemical sprayer that includes a sprayer head assembly and a container. The container defines a cavity for storing a chemical to be sprayed. The sprayer head assembly includes a chemical passage, a carrier fluid passage, a vent passage, a valve chamber and a valve. The chemical passage is communication with the cavity. The carrier fluid passage is in communication with a carrier fluid source. Both the carrier fluid and chemical passages are in communication with the valve chamber. The valve is moveably positioned within the valve chamber and defines at least partially a first passage and a second passage. The first passage is configured so as to be in communication with the chemical passage when the valve is in an open position. The second passage is configured so as to be in communication with the carrier fluid passage when the valve is in the open position. In one embodiment, the assembly also includes a sealing member that may be biased in one direction and actuated to open and close the vent passage.

Disclosed are embodiments related to a chemical sprayer that comprises a sprayer head assembly and a container. The container defines a cavity for storing a chemical to be sprayed. A valve may be longitudinally moveable from an open position to a closed position. In the closed position, the valve may block a chemical passage, a vent passage, and a carrier fluid passage. In an open position, these passages are opened.

An assembly including a pump attachment particularly adapted to form an nonaerosol pump sprayer. The attachment includes a body, a shaft, a piston, an inlet valve and a biasing member. The body defines an elongate chamber having the first end, second end, and an interior wall extending between the first end and second end. The shaft extends through the opening in the first end of the chamber. The piston is reciprocally mounted within the chamber and includes an outer annular surface sized and shaped to form a sealing engagement with the interior wall of the body.

A valve assembly can automatically and essentially totally release aerosol content from an aerosol container in a single burst without the use of electric power or constant manual activation. A diaphragm at least partially defines an accumulation chamber that receives aerosol chemical from the can during an accumulation phase. Once the internal pressure of the accumulation chamber reaches a predetermined threshold, the diaphragm moves, carrying with it a seal so as to unseal an outlet channel, and thereby initiate a spray of the main active chemical. The diaphragm is held in the open position while there is elevated pressure of active in the can and/or due to a latch that activates as the diaphragm moves to the dispensing position.
