A fecal impaction removal device includes an elongated shaft extending along a central longitudinal axis. A dilation body is secured at a distal end of the elongated shaft for insertion into a rectum of a patient. The dilation body has a maximum radial extension in a direction orthogonal to the central longitudinal axis. The fecal impaction removal device includes a stop member that extends from a central region of the elongated shaft. The stop member has a length along a major axis that is greater than the maximum radial extension of the dilation body.

Fecal impaction removal device

A dressing includes a transparent film layer having a top side, an opposite bottom side, and an insertion site viewing portion. The bottom side has an adhesive portion and an adhesive-free portion. The adhesive-free portion is disposed within the viewing portion. An antimicrobial member having a top side and an opposite bottom side is disposed in the viewing portion. A portion of the antimicrobial member is adhered to the film layer adhesive portion, and a portion of the antimicrobial member is disposed in the adhesive-free portion. The antimicrobial member includes an outer edge and an opening disposed within the outer edge. The opening is disposed in the adhesive-free portion. A catheter extending from an insertion site is receivable through the opening in the antimicrobial member. The antimicrobial member surrounds the insertion site when the dressing is applied to a patient.

Integrated antimicrobial dressing

A dressing having integral antimicrobial includes a transparent film layer having a top side, an opposite bottom side, and an insertion site viewing portion. The dressing also includes an antimicrobial member having a top side and an opposite bottom side. The antimicrobial member top side is adhered to the film layer bottom side in the insertion site viewing portion. The antimicrobial member includes at least one pair of elongated, spacedly disposed portions defining a slot therebetween. A zone of inhibition defined by the antimicrobial member covers an entire area of the slot between the member portions.

Dressing having integral antimicrobial

A window dressing includes a fabric layer having juxtaposed insertion site viewing and anchor member portions. The fabric layer has an adhesive side and an opposite non-adhesive top side. The insertion site viewing portion is defined by an opening in the fabric layer. A transparent film layer having an adhesive skin-adhering, bottom, side and an opposite non-adhesive side is adhered to the fabric layer adhesive side and closes the opening in the fabric layer. The anchor member portion includes a reinforcing structure disposed on the fabric layer and having an adhesive side and an opposite non-adhesive side. The reinforcing structure adhesive side is adhered to the fabric layer non-adhesive top side.

Window dressing having integral anchor

A reinforced closure anchor includes a first layer having an adhesive side, an opposite non-adhesive side, and an outer edge. An anchor member layer having a reinforcing structure is disposed on the first layer. The anchor member includes an adhesive side and an opposite non-adhesive side. The anchor member adhesive side is adhered to the first layer non-adhesive side or the first layer adhesive side. The anchor member may be generally centered between ends of the first layer, the anchor member may extend to portions of the outer edge of the first layer, and the anchor member may have a shape that generally corresponds in shape to a middle portion of the first layer.

Reinforced closure anchor

A reinforced closure anchor includes a first layer having an adhesive side, an opposite non-adhesive side, and an outer edge. An anchor member layer having a reinforcing structure is disposed on the first layer. The anchor member includes an adhesive side and an opposite non-adhesive side. The anchor member adhesive side is adhered to the first layer non-adhesive side. The anchor member is disposed within the outer edge of the first layer.

A reinforced closure anchor includes a first layer having an adhesive side, an opposite non-adhesive side, and an outer edge. An anchor member layer having a reinforcing structure is disposed on the first layer. The anchor member includes an adhesive side and an opposite non-adhesive side. The anchor member adhesive side is adhered to the first layer non-adhesive side or the first layer adhesive side. The anchor member is disposed within the outer edge of the first layer. The anchor member may have a surface area that is in the range of approximately 1-2% of a surface area of the first layer, or the anchor member may have a surface area that is in the range of approximately 99-100% of a surface area of the first layer.

A reinforced closure anchor includes a fabric layer having an adhesive side, an opposite non-adhesive side, and an outer edge. An anchor member layer having a reinforcing structure is disposed on the fabric layer. The anchor member is adhered to the fabric layer adhesive side. The anchor member is disposed within the outer edge of the fabric layer.

A self-adherent window dressing includes a fabric layer bounded by an edge. The fabric layer has an adhesive side, an opposite non-adhesive side, and an opening therein to allow for viewing therethrough. The opening is defined by a peripheral edge. A transparent film layer closes the opening and has first and second opposing sides. The film layer first side is non-adhesive and is mounted on the fabric layer adhesive side to close the opening in the fabric layer. The film layer second side has a skin adhering adhesive portion and an adhesive-free portion. The adhesive-free portion is disposed partially in the opening and extending beyond the peripheral edge of the opening. The film layer adhesive-free portion is adapted not to stick to a patient's skin, a connector, a catheter, or other medical device disposed between the film layer adhesive-free portion and skin.

Window dressing

A cushioned medical securement device for cushioning and securing a patient medical device includes a laterally and longitudinally extending pad. The pad has an adhesive coated first side surface for adhering to the patient medical device and an opposing adhesive coated second side surface for adhering to a patient's skin. A first release liner is removably mounted on the first side surface. The first release liner has a first liner peel release value. A second release liner is removably mounted on the second side surface. The second release liner has a second liner peel release value that is greater than the first liner peel release value.

Cushioned medical securement device

A medical irrigation basin and procedural tray assembly includes a basin capable of holding irrigation fluids from irrigating a patient's wound. The basin has a bottom bounded by a perimeter. A wall extends upwards from the perimeter of the bottom and is continuous therewith. A pedestal or pedestal container fittable on the basin can support a body part and may contain useful medical fluids. A pad of absorbent material may be disposed on the bottom of the basin. The pad is adapted to absorb a substantial volume of the irrigation fluids flowing from irrigation of the patient's wound.

Medical irrigation basin and procedural tray

A PIV window dressing assembly with integral, built-in tubing anchors for the protection of a PIV catheter insertion site is disclosed that is interchangeably usable on both a right or left-hand side insertion site and that resists detachment from a patient's skin during use. The dressing assembly includes a fabric layer that is bounded by an edge. The fabric layer has an adhesive side, an opposite non-adhesive side, and at least one opening therein to allow for viewing therethrough. At least one reinforcement member is disposed between the fabric layer edge and the opening. The reinforcement member is adhered to the fabric layer adhesive side. A transparent film layer having an adhesive skin adhering side and an opposite non-adhesive side closes each of the openings in the fabric layer. The film layer non-adhesive side is adhered to the fabric layer adhesive side.

PIV dressing assembly

A self-adherent window dressing includes a fabric layer bounded by an edge. The fabric layer has an adhesive side, an opposite non-adhesive side, and an opening therein to allow for viewing therethrough. A reinforcement member is adhered to at least a portion of the fabric layer. A transparent film layer closes the opening and has first and second opposing sides. The film layer first side is non-adhesive and is mounted on the fabric layer adhesive side to close the opening in the fabric layer. The film layer second side has a skin adhering adhesive portion and an adhesive-free portion. The adhesive-free portion is disposed inwardly of the opening. The film layer adhesive-free portion is adapted not to stick to a wound, connector, or catheter disposed between the film layer adhesive-free portion and skin.

A reinforced closure anchor includes a fabric layer having an adhesive side, an opposite non-adhesive side, and an outer edge. An anchor member layer having a reinforcing structure, an adhesive side, and an opposite non-adhesive side is disposed on the fabric layer. The anchor member non-adhesive side is adhered to the fabric layer adhesive side. The anchor member is disposed within the outer edge of the fabric layer.
