A modular electrical conductor system for electrical wiring including one or more discrete elongated generally rectilinear track or carrier members and a plurality of modular electrical elements which are selectively connectable with the carrier members to establish a selected electrical circuit, the various carrier members and modular elements having preassembled electrical conductors carried therein such that ends of the conductors are adapted for mating electrical connection while being continually shielded from contact by an installer. The modular electrical elements include modular switch and/or receptacle elements having internal switch means operative to enable selective connection of internal conductors so as to vary circuit configurations to create at least one primary circuit and selective auxiliary circuits, each modular switch and receptacle element defining four quadrant oriented multiple conductor connector sites enabling the switch and receptacle elements to be connected to elongated carrier track members. The various prewire modular circuit components are preferably coded in a manner to enable easy selective connection in various circuit configuration by a person untrained in electrical circuitry.

An electrical power track system includes an elongated tubular track carrying elongated electrical conductors internally thereof and having a relatively narrow longitudinally extending slot formed in the track to enable access to the conductors but inhibiting insertion of fingers and the like into the track. A gripper device is adapted for mounting on the track and has a thin fin-like extension adapted for insertion into the track slot. The gripper device carries descrete electrically conductive L-shaped contacts spaced along the fin-like extension for movement between retracted positions within the extension to enable insertion into the track slot, and extended positions engaging the track conductors when the gripper device is mounted on the track. An actuator carried by the gripper device enables selective movement of the contacts between their retracted and extended positions, and a locking member releasably secures the gripper device on the track.

Housing for modular electrical switch receptacle device or the like

An electrical power track system employing an elongated track having had a plurality of longitudinal slots opening outwardly of laterally opposite side surfaces of the track and providing access to a plurality of offset longitudinal electrical conductors or bus bars, and a gripper member adapted to be mounted in straddle fashion on the track and carrying electrical contacts which are manipulated in response to mounting of he gripper member on the track so as to selectively engage the electrical conductors and facilitate connection of an electric load to an electrical circuit carried by the track. The longitudinal slots are preferably 'L' or 'T' shaped in transverse cross section and prevent straight-in access to the associated longitudinal conductors carried by the track.

Ski boot walking accessory

The present invention provides apparatus attachable to an Alpine ski boot for aiding the wearer in walking. This apparatus comprises an auxiliary sole attachable under the sole of the ski boot and having an upper surface for accommodating the ski boot sole and a lower surface for engaging the ground. A given curvature is provided on the lower surface for approximating the normal heel-to-toe walking motion. A pocket in a leading end portion of the auxiliary sole surroundingly engages a toe portion of the ski boot sole. An elongate, elastically deformable cord grippingly engages the heel portion of the ski boot. This cord has a pair of studs attached to its respective ends. A plurality of stud-engaging slots are spaced at predetermined intervals longitudinally of the auxiliary sole for releasably engaging these studs to provide a range of adjustment of the effective length of the unstressed cord.

Electric clock

A lamp and support housing are adapted for movement along the length of a power supply track. The track is portable since it is removably connected to wall brackets. The housing supports movable contacts each adapted to be electrically coupled to a discrete conductor bus in the track. Access to the conductor buses is attained by way of slots on opposite faces of the track. A discrete actuator on the housing moves each contact between an inoperative retracted position and an operative extended position.

A mechanical channel selector device for the remote switching of channels of a television receiver includes a switching mechanism coaxially mounted to the television receiver channel shaft and operatively connected to a manual control mechanism. The switching mechanism includes a switching disc having a series of notches corresponding to the television channels on the inside surface which cooperate with a pawl member pivotally mounted to a switching actuator lever coaxially mounted on the disc and operatively connected to the control mechanism. The control mechanism includes a spring biased control knob movable between an at rest position and an actuated position. Movement of the control knob results in the pivotal movement of the actuator lever and the pawl member engaging a notch on the switching disk to rotate the television receiver channel shaft to the next channel.

A lamp and support housing are adapted for movement along the length of a power supply track. The housing supports movable contacts each adapted to be electrically coupled to a discrete conductor bus in the track. An actuator on the housing moves the contacts between an inoperative retracted position and an operative extented position. Access to the conductor buses is attained by way of slots on opposite faces of the track.
