Clock skew may be detected measured and compensated for using phase detectors and variable delay adjusters. Phase detectors may be distributed throughout a clock distribution network and may be configured to analyze two clock signals to determine how often one signal leads the other. The output of the phase detectors may be measured and counted over a large number of clock cycles. The difference between the number of times one signal leads or lags behind the other may be used to determine the amount of delay to apply to the leading clock signal in order to minimize (reduce) skew between the two clock signals. The same techniques for detecting and measuring clock skew may also be used to detect and measure jitter in the clock signals. By configuring variable delay adjusters on clock signals, the amount of jitter in the clock signals can be measured or characterized.

Controller for clock skew determination and reduction based on a lead count over multiple clock cycles

A system and method for using variable delay adjusters located at various points across an integrated circuit to measure clock skew and jitter for clock signals of the integrated circuit. A delay controller of the integrated circuit may measure and compensate for clock skew detected between two clock signals by configuring variable delay adjusters located inline with the respective clock signals. Such a delay controller may also use the variable delay adjusters to correct duty cycle errors in a clock signal and may further utilize the variable delay adjusters to measure and characterize jitter detected on the clock signals.

Incrementally adjustable skew and duty cycle correction for clock signals within a clock distribution network

Spectacle frames are provided for use with either prescription lenses, safety lenses, or the like, the frames having a lens-holding substructure with two lens-holding rims joined at the center section by a bridge piece, and two head-engaging members pivotably attached at or near the bridge piece to a top surface thereof, and extending upwardly and around to the side of a wearer's head, the head-engaging members terminating at ear-engaging portions. The pivotable attachment of the head-engaging members to the lens-holding substructure is effected by snap-fitting a cylindrical pin having a ball element at its end, which extends from a forward end of each head-engaging member, into one of a pair of cylindrical bores, each terminating at a spherical socket, which are disposed at and extend into the lens-holding substructure at or near the bridge piece.

A balcony or other metal railing assembly which can be readily prefabricated. This assembly includes a top rail and a lower rail, spaced from each other, between which extend vertically a plurality of parallel spaced pickets or spindles. The assembly may be mounted on vertical posts embedded in decking. The top and bottom rails are hollow and configured to receive the ends of the pickets and to snap-lock them in orifices in the top of the bottom rail, and in orifices in a locking cover plate which clips in to recessing in the underside of the top rail. While the bottom rails only extend between mounting posts, since the top rails may be clamped down, and thereby secured, onto the upper ends of the mounting posts, the top rails may extend over the posts without interruption. The bottom rails may also be snap-locked onto specially configured adapters laterally projecting from and secured to the posts. In addition, provision is made for suitable corner attachment of the mitered ends of abutting rails. Moreover, because of the unique snap-on type construction of this railing system, a method is provided wherein sections of such railing may be prefabricated at an assembly plant and shipped either in condition to be attached to posts, or with the post pre-attached so that all that is necessary to erect the railing is to embed the lower ends of the post into a suitable opening in he decking for cementing or other type of securing.
