An automatically retractable knife that includes an actuator, a blade carrier, two springs, a pawl and a blade. The knife is configured with a safety feature to ensure that the knife blade is automatically retractable upon completion of cutting a surface.

A knife that includes a blade, a handle affixed to an end of the blade and a screwdriver bit fixed to the handle and moveable between an extended position beyond the base of the handle and a retracted position in which the screwdriver bit is arranged completely within the opening of the handle.

A paint container that includes a bracket that is rotatably fixed to the container and is configured to allow an object (e.g., paint brush) to be releasably fixed thereto. The bracket can include a first bracket member and a second bracket member that extends at an angle from the first bracket member. The bracket is fixed to the container such that the bracket is rotatable to at least partially extending within the interior of the container and to fully extend above the container. At least one magnet can fixed to the bracket to secure the object thereto.

A blade dispenser for housing a plurality of unshelled blades, dispensing the blades one at a time therefrom and receiving used blades and storing the used blades therein. The dispenser includes a housing that has ribs forming a track, a dispensing slot at a first end of the housing, a pusher and a spring that aid in dispensing blades through the slot art the first end of the housing and a closure element that includes a slot connected to a second end of the housing to receive used blades.

A blade dispenser for housing a plurality of unshelled blades and dispensing the blades one at a time therefrom. The dispenser includes a housing that has tracks forming a guide, a dispensing slot at one end of the housing and a filling end at the other end of the housing, a pusher that is mounted on the track within the housing, abuts the blades and is moveable from the filling end toward the dispensing slot to aid in dispensing the blades and a spring that is located within the housing and engages the pusher and the housing and biases the pusher and the blades toward the dispensing slot.

A carpet cutter assembly comprising a ribbed handle, an elongated internal channel opening along the lower surface, which houses the blade in a dosed position; an exposed blade storage mechanism on the handle for housing a plurality of replacement blades, the blade storage mechanism having a blade storage handle, which locks in a blade storage cavity to secure the blade in place; a locking wheel mechanism at the frontal end of the handle, which rotates the blade from an open, closed and loading position and secures the blade in these positions; a rotatable blade retainer located at the frontal end of the handle, wherein the blade is positioned for use; and a blade safety housing with a pivot opening through which the locking wheel shaft is inserted, wherein the housing engages with the retainer to secure the blade.

There is provided in a preferred embodiment of the present invention a razor blade assembly having two plastic blades affixed to a central metal core. Each blade includes a blade edge and a connector for connecting to a connection slot in the metal core.

A sanding device for use with sandpaper sheets comprises a base connected to two lateral extensions by flexible connectors. The base further includes a plurality of spikes pointed towards the extensions and positioned inside slots in the extensions when the device is in a closed position. In order to load and unload sandpaper sheets, a lateral extension may be lifted against a tension force from the flexible connector. The stress on the flexible connector is limited by the contact of two edges which are positioned to prevent the flexible connector from undergoing stress beyond a specified level.
