A debris conveyor for removing limbs, bark and other debris from between a tree stripping apparatus and a tree chipping apparatus defines a path between the stripper and chipper and comprises a conveyor extending under the path for conveying debris away from between the stripper and chipper. In one aspect of the invention, the conveyor is provided with wheels and a frame adapted for trailering. In one embodiment of the invention, the conveyor includes a power source for powering the conveyor. In an alternative embodiment, the conveyor is adapted for connection with the power source from one of the stripper and the chipper. The stripper incluldes, in one embodiment a serpentine drive system for controlling stripping elements.

Material stripper and debris removal apparatus therefor

An attachment for a miter gage used on a table saw. The attachment includes two linear fences arranged at right angles to each other on a table surface. One of the fences is formed by an elongated channel member having a bottom wall, two side walls, and two inturned flanges. A manually-operable locking mechanism is mounted on and within the channel member to clamp the member in selected positions of adjustment at right angles to the other fence member.

In a wood chipping machine having a rotating cutter disk, a wood chip separator comprising a plurality of fins attached to the back of the cutter disk, near the perimeter, for deflecting wood chips axially away from the cutter disk to minimize the cross over of wood chips to the infeed side of the cutter disk and to minimize the discard of wood chips with wood chaff.

In a wood chipping machine, having a powered infeed material conveyor, an infeed control circuit for automatically adjusting infeed material capacity. The circuit has a monitor for monitoring infeed conveyor loading and a switch which is responsive to the monitor such that the infeed capacity is adjusted to accommodate large material when the conveyor loading reaches a predetermined level.

A wood chipper (40) for chipping wood, such as logs, into wood chips, has a chipping block (80) including one or more chipping knives (96) rotatably mounted in a housing (42l). An input aperture (60) on one face of the housing (42) receives material to be chipped, and a discharge chute (58) extends tangentially from the periphery of the housing (42) to exhaust chips therefrom. Primary and secondary wear blocks (68, 69) having hardened wear surfaces, are mounted at the input aperture (60) of the housing (42), against which incoming wood material abuts as it is fed into the chipper (40). The primary wear block (68) is mounted on a support bracket (66) and adjustable relative to the axial position of the chipper knives (96). The secondary wear block (69) is adapted to be mounted to the housing (42) at an inward edge of the input aperture (60), so that it can be easily removed.

A wood chipper for chipping wood, such as logs, into particles, has a chipping block rotatably mounted in a housing on a shaft, which in turn is mounted to a housing through bearings. Seals protect the bearings from dirt and moisture. The seals on an inlet side of the chipper block are protected by a tubular collar mounted to and extending axially from the chipper block in concentric relationship with a portion of the housing in which the seals are mounted. The housing has a tubular portion which extends near to the chipper block and within the tubular collar to provide a tortuous path for dirt and debris. The seals are mounted within the tubular extension.

An attachment for a miter gauge of the type having an arm slideably moveable in the slot of a work table so that a wooden workpiece is moved into engagement with a table saw blade. The attachment includes a fence that is connected to the miter gauge body, and a stop member that is attached at a selected position along the length of the knee. The fence has a slot which receives the head of a threaded fastener. The other end of the fastener is connected to a cam mounted within the stop member in such a manner that the user can lock the stop member at a selected position along the fence by turning a knob attached to the cam.

Locking means for miter gauge attachment

An attachment for a miter gauge of the type having an arm slidably movable in the slot of a work table so that a wooden workpiece is moved into engagement with a table saw blade depending upon the angle of the arm with respect to the miter gauge body. The attachment is mounted on the miter gauge in such a manner that two workpieces one with a taper cut and the other with a miter cut can be successively cut and then joined along their bias edges to form a ninety degree joint, without readjusting the miter gauge.

A router is mounted on the back of a support plate which can be raised or lowered to a precise adjusted position with respect to a base plate such that a dovetail cutting tool cuts precision dovetail joints in wooden workpieces. Other cutting tools can be employed for rabbeting, mortising, as well as for cutting square and round tenons to produce close fitting wooden joints.
