An articulated exoskeleton bait holder/protector and hook device for holding live or dead shrimp has a body formed of pivotally connected generally inverted U-shaped transverse body segments formed of stiff transparent plastic material defining interior cavities configured to receive the shrimps' head, abdominal segments, and telson. An arcuate eye opening extends over the front portion of the head segment. Retaining members extending through laterally opposed sides of the body segments releasably retain the shrimp in the interior thereof. A downwardly curved lip attached to the head segment causes the body to dive and oscillate from side to side as it is drawn through water. The body segments pivot to conform to natural movements of a live shrimp's abdominal segments as it moves forward or backward, and the open bottom portions of the body segments allow the scent of the shrimp to escape.

A live bait protector and hook apparatus 10 is provided. The live bait protector and hook apparatus 10 includes a fishing hook 12 and a line 14 coupled to the hook. A transparent member 26 is provided to surround and encase the hook 12 and bait 50. A sealing member 38 is provided to seal the transparent member 26 so that the bait 50 can be protected from unwanted tampering while in the water.

A film drive mechanism is disclosed for use with a radiographic apparatus which provides continuous radiographs or x-rays of a selected portion of a subject lying in a horizontal position by simultaneously rotating an x-ray source and an x-ray film holder including an x-ray film about the subject. An x-ray film cassette is mounted in the film holder and while the film holder rotates about the subject, the film cassette is moved past an x-ray slit. The film holder includes a novel drive mechanism for moving the cylindrical film cassette, in which an x-ray film is placed, at the proper rate of speed to provide the desired x-ray during rotation of the source and film holder. This is accomplished by utilizing a sloped cam having a configuration determined by the desired focal trough to vary the relative rotation of the shaft of a motor driving the film and the housing of the motor.

Film drive mechanism for panoramic radiographic apparatus

A conveyor apparatus, such as a cart, is disclosed, for aiding in the placement of subjects to be x-rayed in position in a radiographic apparatus. The conveyor apparatus includes a conveyor belt on which a patient is placed and a mechanical linkage having a mechanical advantage connecting the conveyor belt to an operator, so that relatively small movement of the operator causes relatively large movement of the patient carrying conveyor belt.
